You could potentially choose to purchase only 4 corners and build a case of varying size that can fit a variety of motherboards and GPUs. Or you can purchase the 3D components for MK-1 and stretch the design to support full length GPUs if so desired. Lots of flexibility in the 3D component design.

Is it possible to have the corners square instead of rounded?

It is possible but would require some reworking of the models. For now though round corners will be the only offered.
