The possibilities for where to mount fans/drives/etc. to the chassis are practically infinite...

Just noticed that you put up a very nice back story about the designing of this case. I hope the crowd-funding stuff will start soon after that. Is it possible to expect delivery around June? .

june at best, eh? sounds like i need to revise my plans to include broadwell-e and pascal, then. twist my arm.
Yes, with an ATX PSU installed the CPU heatsink height is limited to ~50mm and the L9i is 37mm tall including the fan.
