Questions:

1. Will the riserless case be a tower case like the Hyte Revolt 3?
2. Are you going sub 10L or Sub 20L?
3. ETA 2023 or >2023?

You have some awesome cases and I still want a Velka at some point :D
Nothing is decided regarding the riserless case yet

I love my Velka 3 and this is the only case is what I'm looking forward to (and the new iteration of the Dan A4 SFX far-far ahead).
While gpu's are getting bigger and bigger, ITX gpu's are still around and with such wonders of technology like the A2000 or how competent a Radeon 6600 still is while being severely power limited, this genre remain to be just as interesting as ever.

All I care is to still be able to use my Enhance 766b VK.
38mm cooling clearance is kinda enough as I've yet to see noticable difference between that and 48mm (and the L9 coolers still remain my favourite).\
Ther could be a few mm space near the front panel for easier cabling - raising the size from the current 3.9L to 4L is enough.

Alternatively... if there would be a way to route them on each corner somehow, there could be space for two slim 80mm fans to push air out, as with a horizontally finned gpu the front can be hot to the touch when the system is at load. Just an idea not a necessity, as that thick 5mm plate is great.
The Velka 3 changes are very conservative this time around. The focus is on keeping the same features with a better execution:
-same size (3.9 L)
-same hardware compatibility +/- a few mm in graphics card dimensions and fixing some rare incompatibilities, inconsistencies
-surface finishing improvements
-slightly more convenient build process

The 5 mm aluminum plate is also being changed to 2 mm steel on all cases for more consistent surface finishing and fixing some installation issues. The Velka 3 will remain compatible with Flex ATX PSUs such as the one you are currently using, but case fan support won’t be added. It’s something that I have considered but it would result in either complex mounting of 40 mm fans on the GPU side or making the front panel too thin and perforated to remain straight.

One of the thing that got me instantly amazed once I took it out from the box is the surface finishing. I honestly don't know how to inprove that further, but I'm looking forward to it.

I see that the Strix B660-I motherboard is incompatible with the Velka 3 due to the oversized IO shroud.

I wonder if the newly released Strix B650E-I would have the same problem? Compared to the B660-I the shroud seems to be a lot smaller, however the top corner is what's worrying me.

Hi @Trafford Devil, this is something I'm wondering about too. Have you found out if the B650E-I fits into the Velka 3?

Any updates?

I also want to buy Asus Rog Strix B650E-I. But I'm afraid of incompatibility.

So I was wondering myself, as thats the Board I wanted to use in my next project! :D
I've got my hands on the Velka 7 by @VELKASE Michael and have installed the Asus Board
the second I've got my package! <3

I am not 100% sure that we can talk about a non issue with this board.
I was able to screw it in without any issues. It is sitting where it has to be without any bending and even tho the IO shield is fixed to the heatsink and rather stiff, it does fit where it belongs. So the only thing that is overlapping is the 1mm of the Heatsink in the PSU corner. If that 1mm clearance is no issue: I WOULD CALL IT COMPATIBLE! ;)

Hope that helps!

The motherboard's spine should sit directly on top (contacting) the PSU. I'm unsure whether the overlapping 1mm will actually cause some bending/warping once the PSU is installed. In any case the images are super helpful!

I wasn't able to push the PSU all the way to the end and have it screwed onto the case with the ASUS Rog Strix X670E-I in place. This is my first time building a PC so I'm not certain I haven't made any mistakes, but I'm wondering: is this the issue most people have been worrying about?

May I ask what kind of PSU you are using? It sounds like your PSU is not SFX but SFX-L (longer then the case is desined for.) That was not what we have been taking about in the post before. Some have been concerned that the B650E-I and X670E-I Strix Boards by Asus are not compatible with the Velka Cases as the Heatsinks are a bit large and overlapping the PCB of the Board. But what I can state is that they should fit. So you can confirm that the X670E-I (apart from the to long PSU) does actually fit into the Velka 7 aswell? :)

I'm using the standard PSU purchased with the Velka 3: Enhance Electronics ENP-7660B.

From my understanding, the IO panel juts out too much, therefore preventing the PSU from going in all the way.

I don't have the Velka 7 so I cannot confirm this. Sorry.

Ahhh allright...didn't know you have been talking about the Velka 3 and Flex ATX PSU! :)
I was talking about Velka 7 and SFX PSU which worked out a bit rough but all nice and snug.

I will go online at monday ~6pm german time and make a Part 3 where I finally put that thing together! 🥳

The stream will stay online after I finished building the setup and there is the step by step Velka 7 stream how I use the RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition! :) Have a great weekend guys! <3

I want use one of the Velkases to host a mini ITX motherboard, with one or two 3.5" HDD. I DO NOT need a video card as I will be using the on board graphics card. Which one of the Velkase has the mounting kits to do that ? Can the video card space be used to mount 3.5" HDDs ?
My goal is to minimize the space footprint, migrating from an Ncase M1. Thank you
