With no ETA on Velka 5 replacement, I went ahead and bought a Velka 7. The Velka 3 will get put in storage until a 3060ti replacement (that is worth it) comes out. Fitted with a Corsair SF600, 13600k, Gigabyte Z690I Ultra Lite DDR4, 2x16GB B-Die, 2TB 990Pro, and Dell OEM 6900XT. I’m happy with it.

Seems to have been put on back burner for foreseeable future. Is there any info for changes available anywhere

The stand makes the case look off/odd with the power button at top. I'm happy internal display extension cables are still possible. Pass through GPUs, specially ones that blow towards PSU are terrible for Velka 5. They causes Flex-ATX PSUs to sound like a jet engine due to GPU heat exchange.

So I've got the new Revision 3.0 and compared it to my Velka 7 rev 2.1 which was equipped with a Nvidia RTX 4070 Founders Edition, ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I, RYZEN 7600 (right now I use a delidded 7800X3D), SilverStone EX850R with 12VHPWR, TeamGroup VULCANα DDR5, Alpenföhn Black Ridge (yes...I've got a pre-production Mounting-Kit for AM5 *spoiler*) and yes it does fit both the rev 2.1 and 3.0 with that specific board. Check it out:

Thank you @VELKASE Michael for the opportunity to test your beautiful new case! <3
By the way, I will make a live stream in two days at Friday 4pm (German time) where I will be putting everything together and show off the internal GPU-offset with the RTX 4070 for better passthrough airflow & temperatures.

BR AM5 kit, very nice 😁 I'll have a video out in few weeks for Velkase revisions. Sadly, an unforseen issue occurred with original footage and caused lower quality or bitrate recording, resulting in noisy image. Can't say I'm not little sad, but I'd rather redo the video, than push out something less than what it can be. Sorry guys
Feel free to check out Velkacase content on IG in meantime

Swapped premium feel for robustness

I don't get it... always thought the slapped on aluminum was weird.
...
steel case + 5mm aluminum plate = premium XD

I liked the original Velka 5... uncompromising(*) and small footprint.

*I'm sure not everyone liked the I/O on top or the SFX-PSU mounted directly onto the outer shell, but... it was the way to go!

Really curious how the GPU shift works and how that improves temps for pass through GPU's. Can you share a bit more detail on how this is achieved?

v2 cases arguably more aesthetically pleasing with smooth surface finish and nice front panel. Of course aesthetics are subjective, so not to mince words. Each to their own. I'm aware of the practical benefits of the v3 changes and case is functionally much improved, but I like aesthetically pleasing cases, what can I say 😉 in any case, you do get used to it so not big deal

I like the look of v2 better as well. That being said, if I didn't already own a v2 I would not hesitate at all to buy a v3.

Great video. The case looks very robust. It's a shame the Gigabyte and MSI 4070Ti's are juuuuuust a bit too thick to fit (at 50mm)
