  • Mounted / Zip tie 2x 120mm x 12mm fans (new Scythe slimPWMs) to top
Any more details about this please? I don't see it on their website.

And please make sure you post this build log to OC.net and [H], I think they'd love to see it :)

I actually learn about these from [H]
I just received them from amazon. Appears to be sold out now. Info from Amazon:
Manufacturer reference number: SY1212SL12H-P 2PK

I didn't listen to you guys... found out that pcie extender isn't working. I really should have tested it before assembly. Sigh.
Looks ok so far. The long soft tubing on the left needs to go behind stuff. Temps are decent with the 360. About 73 peak with Prime 95 torture, and 55-60 for 3D rendering software. Will run more treats tomorrow.

Always remember this 1st watercoling rule : always test your equipment before watercooling it..:D

Well nice looking...however temperature are a bit too high for watercooling..:( Is it due to lack of intake, airflow?

So I finally ran this fan, it is very loud at max speed (2000 rpm), but pushes quite a bit of air.

It's coming along nicely, keep up the good work ! I really like the formfactor, I'm hoping we'll get more of this type of case layout in the future.

I'm currently amidst the same journey that Nanook has just taken and graciously documented :) with the Core G3 case, although I'm a little more space constrained with a full ATX board and SFX-L supply.

One thing I'd like to add to the conversation is that this case is cool (pun intended) in that with a very small amount of modification to the case plastics I was able add 20mm slim fans in front of the case in between the chassis and the front cover.
So you can fit a better-cooling push-pull radiator setup of 20mm thick fan --> decent thickness 360mm radiator --> 25mm thick fan and not bump into the full sized ATX mobo / long graphics card the same way you would have if everything was fully "internal" to the chassis.

(I'll have to be a little careful about balancing the flow rates of the different sized/spec'd fans for optimum cooling, though)

Awesome!
One thing to note is that a 360 radiator will block the holes for the bottom pegs of the front cover. I tried to cut the pegs down to fit, but ended up breaking them :(

I see.
In cerberus-x i guess you can have dual 240mm rad, but using combo radiator/reservoir and waterblock/pump...:)

After you have the new fractal design meshify C..:)

Ha. Yes I do like the new Fractal Meshify C. I couldn't find any overall dimensions for that case online yet.

Next up:
- Trying a different pcie extender... the EZDIY seems to work ok. It is also much better quality than the TT one.
- Replaced top fans with 15mm slim fans (instead of 12s). Hopefully it wasn't the top rear fan causing interference to the TT pcie extender last time. I'll run a brief test while parts are still not yet in the case - place a full speed fan next to the pcie extender.

I also plan to redo tubing routing. Goal is to hide in/out tubing from radiator behind graphics card. Straight(ish) soft tubing never looks good to me.
