Very happy with the case with one small issue; the GPU PCI cover plate holes didn't lineup with the back panel. Is there anyway I could get a replacement? I ended up having to drill another hole but the plate got a bit messed up. Might have stripped the back panel as well trying to make it work ;-;

Already having too much fun trying to see what I can fit :D
Replace that flex with an HDPlex GaN, and it might just work out ;)

I actually ran into this at first but then I noticed that I wasn’t seating the bottom part of the GPU bracket down far enough into the slot cutouts. Didn’t seem like much but it was the difference between the holes lining up or not.

I like the challenge and not having to buy an hdplex 🤣it’s a good option to keep in mind though if it ever absolutely had to work.

I’m having difficulty deciding on the right PCI riser (some good ones discussed on Vogons forum but some are hard find now). I’m also thinking about using the pex8112 pci to pci-e bridge and trying my spare pci-e risers. Maybe I can try to get a GTX 560 working in Windows 2000 with the Pentium Pro 200 🤣

Did you get a prototype or a regular unit?

Looking good! Packed out to the brim.

@riba2233 another banger of a case! any news of another soon?

Thanks 😊 You mean another batch or another case haha 😅 There will be something exciting, it won't be easy to design but something is coming.

Should be late January or early February, but it will also be a small batch. After that I will probably start making larger batches.

Both?

Would be good to grab one and always looking forward to what is next from you!

Just curious, on the instructions it mentions to follow the rest of the directions using the provided QR code, but I can’t seem to find a QR code anywhere in the packaging or on your website. Just a little confused on the order of placing the side and front panels, no rush I’m still missing a lot of parts for my build, just eager to get the case together.

Actually scratch that, silly me. I thought the front panel and side panels overlapped, nevermind. Amazing case, I can’t wait to actually build in it!

BTW: My comment about wanting it "taller" was actually meant serious - I'd love to see something like a U-ITX-T (for "thicc") edition, same base, but 22 mm deeper, ie. 30.8 x 33.5 x 9 cm (roughly 9.27L).

That'd allow for air coolers up to 72 mm (or 70 mm with AMD boards, or 68ish with a Gigabyte AMD board), and thus easy cooling even for high-tier CPUs like the Ryzen 9 7950X and similar. Yes, in 105W Eco mode - or even 120W manual PL -you can tame this CPU with something like the AXP120-X67.

The unchanged base format would also still allow for decent portability (eg. I got a padded photo assets / carriage backpack that fits this format perfectly well, but the P-ATX would absolutely not fit).

Well it seems like you entered the sff endgame, congrats.
You can always use the base of the case, u-itx, and customise it to your liking. You can measure the sidepanel or ask nicely if you can get the cad file and change it to what you need. Every country has its own wielding or cutting company for this stuff.
I can’t speak for riba but having cases that similar is costly.
you have to design, test, manufacture and promote it. Then you have to keep stock which means keep it somewhere stored or make so small batches that you sell quickly.
From what I understood ribs Is doing this alone and maybe this is just a side business so time is tight. I mean look how long it took from the announcement to the first real case and he still sold the first batch even without any endorsement from YouTubers like the other console cases gotten.
Going custom is the way to go.

been long there already, just see my other build logs 🤣😎

yeah, that was my other thought, kinda.

but also, option no. 3: a side extension, that allows reusing the side panel, which ties in perfectly with the existing case. at worst, DIY via 3d printing or similar, at best, an add-on produced and sold by the original manufacturer.
