Apologies for the wait on this, everyone, but I think you'll agree that it has been worth it! As was previously announced a few weeks ago, I'm excited to launch our first-ever giveaway of a motherboard, and a really solid one at that: the ASRock Fatal1ty X370-Gaming ITX/AC.

John's excellent review of this board (alongside its sibling AB350 variant) is available here. As of this posting, this board is available on Amazon for a tad below $160. Overall, the board is an excellent entry into the AM4 ITX space, and makes for a solid platform with which to construct a Ryzen rig. We can't wait to send it along to a good home.

But wait, there's more! We're breaking open the SFF Network Swag Vault (read: @PlayfulPhoenix's closet) and drawing from some of the piles of gear that we received from companies during Computex 2017. We have three swag packages ready to ship that contain a selection gear from the likes of Biostar, Corsair, FSP, Noctua, SilverStone, and Zotac. A motherboard they may not be, but some of this stuff is pretty neat - my particular favorite has to be the miniature Noctua fan keychains, though!

So how do you enter the giveaway? Simple: just post on this thread, sharing your current build or one you're planning to create! Using Random.org, we will select our winners at 8PM EST on October 20th.

This giveaway is open worldwide, except where prohibited. No purchase necessary, and the usual T+C's apply.

If I would win that motherboard, I'd make a bang for buck mini-ITX APU build with it...
by putting it in a case like the In-Win BQ656,
adding a Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2 NVME SSD,
16GB of the fastest compatible RAM,
take a 360GB 7200RPM 2.5" HDD and a slim dvd drive from an old unused laptop I still have lying around,
and then wait for Raven Ridge for desktop to be released.

Current rig is the Ncase in my sig.

Upcoming rig is based on Fire's MI-6, if he would hurry up and build it. ;)

Still on the fence about Coffee Lake or Ryzen.

CPU: i5 8400 or Ryzen 5 1600X
Mobo: Asrock B350itx or Asrock Z270itx
RAM: 2X8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3000 MHz
Cooler: Noctua NH-L12
GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SC Gaming ACX 2.0
PSU: Corsair SF600
SSD Boot: MyDigitalSSD M.2 120GB
SSD Game: SanDisk Ultra 480GB
HDD: Seagate BaraCuda 2TB 2.5

So if I were to win this Mobo it would guarantee me doing a Ryzen build and save me a few dollars. ;)

Long time lurker, signing in.. guess I would test my luck.

Current build:
Case: Modded Inter-Tech AM1 Matx case. Not really SFF at 23 litres but got it for cheap.
MB: Gigabyte B150-D3H
CPU: i5-6500
RAM: 8 GB Kingston DDR4-2133
HDD: 2x Kingston 256 GB SSD, 2TB HDD
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

The computer is mostly used by my kids, so making a nice sff console style itx for the livingroom would nice.
Problably would make another cheap build, well you know... kids. And it has to be wife-approved.

Case: Logic Supply MC600, but the dream case would be the S4-Mini or Sentry.
CPU: Ryzen 5, making an AMD rig again would be sweet (15 years since last).
GPU: GTX 1060 Mini
HDD: M.2 and 1 SSD

But need an itx board first :)

Context:
New 'world' for me… always been a 'Apple Mac' user and struggled for years to play WoW on that platform (latterly even running VMware Fusion) - but my iMac (formally Mac Pro G5) so graphically underpowered - so steered me into the idea of building a 'PC'… and practicalities (footprint) lead me to thinking about a SFF… So much to learn and explore + 2017 has been a year of great change (exceptional by all accounts).

Scoured the web and found Dan A4 case (plus this forum) and managed to snag/reserve one on Overclockers UK - really liked the way the Graphics card is vertically mounted - to avoid 'sag'. Very efficient/discreet case design (I reckon I will still be surprised how small it is, when it eventually arrives at the end of the year) - but challenging thermally!

I have been 'flip/flopping' between Ryzen and Intel CPU - but have finally decided on Ryzen (they say they are not going to muck around with the chipset/motherboard for a few years - and they are sorting out the BIOS and teething problems encountered at launch - so if coolers develop that can handle a higher TDP (plus very low profile…) - but intend to start with R7 1700 (65w TDP) current thinking anyway.

I may look into modding the case (motherboard-side) to allow for more height for taller air cooler… but initially thinking keeping it 'pure/stock'.

So if I am extremely lucky - the ASRock Fatal1ty X370-Gaming ITX/ac board would be a really good board to work with!
I have reserved the case - and also bought an EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 FE graphics card - as it was stable 'price-wise'.
plus an Asetek 545LC AIO cooler - if temps become an issue (or if I decide to go with a higher TDP cpu further down the line)

This is my current pcpartpicker list…
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/SilverFox18/saved/PT4FTW

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
Cooler: Noctua - NH-L9a
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty X370-Gaming ITX/ac
Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200
Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 SSD, Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" SSD
Graphics Card: EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 FE
Case: Dan A4 Silver
Power Supply: Corsair SF 600W

Would welcome any advice as to obvious 'mistakes' in my choice of parts…

Good luck all

Working on a AMD Ryzen system with R5 and RX480. Will be fully water cooled and less than 9L.
Hope I win, it will go perfectly in my build.

Well, I am now a Silverstone Milo M108B man. This is my first build and I really need this X370 for my RyZen 7 1700x, a perfect match!! On a real budget here. Got the 1700x for $300 at WallMart and the Milo off Ebay for $50 Retired here so I am all dedicated to this build !! Thanks Ger
