Technically, the maximum safest power for an 8 pins cable is 288W (8+8 is also 288W, but combined).

Corsair thinks you only need 2 since their replacement cable for the RTX 4090 only has 2x8 pin PCIe.
Its not PCIe though. It is a Type 4 pinout that is used for both CPU/EPS12V and PCIe and it can deliver up to 300W each. Hence the 2x8pin Type 4 is already enough for 12VHPWR to deliver 600W. I dont know why people always forget that the exact same port is used for EPS12V which can deliver 300W. A single daisy chained PCIe cable that comes included in Corsair SF750 already delivers 300W anyway.

It has 4x8pin PCIe in two daisy-chained cables. It will work.
I'd rather spread the load between as many PSU-side connectors as possible and the SF750 only offers 4 Type 4 connectors (one of which is being used for EPS12V)

THIS!

I get questions all the time about random GPU crashing only to find out someone hooked up their high power GPU to a single cable but with dual connectors. 288W from a single connector on the PSU.

If a single 12-pin connector can handle 600w, then a single 6/8-pin connector should be fine for 288w. More likely the cable is too thin to handle the current to avoid excessive voltage drop, thus GPU instability.

Slim Profile? 🤔 Yes in comparison to the included Y-Adapter it is "slim".

The new Corsair SFX 12VHOWR accessoires cables is only 15mm in height with cables bended. This adapter will not fit on a RTX 4090 FE inside the C4-SFX.

Is that Corsair cable accessorie only compatible with Corsair PSUs? Will this be a problem with other AIB cards with the C4?

I have a Silverstone SXL-1000w and hope that's not the case.

Yes Corsair's cable is only compatible with Corsair PSUs.
Silverstone has their own 12VHPWR cable but I don't think it's available separately.
Custom cable makers should be able to make some for your PSU though.
