Might not be practical from a MOQ perspective with the factory.
well, it's the most logical if we're being honest. the problem is about how long we've been waiting. the amount of cases that can release between now and the pushback date is large. (options will widen in conjunction with the pushback)

When trying to be good at many things, you can't be excellent at anything.
The A4-SFX had a very clear target ... and it is perfect.
The C4-SFX is trying to hard to make everybody happy, I am afraid it will get nobody exited.

What would get me exited is something that would fit a Noctua NH-U12A and a fairly large GPU (not the largest) in the smallest possible case.
An A4-SFX that would fit a 70mm CPU cooler would get me exited. (actually it has me exited already).

And I have been bouncing between the A4-SFX and the NR200, and decided to just waiting for the C4-SFX.
We don't need another good case ... there are many good cases out there ... we need an excellent case.

Even if it not excellent by my standards, if it's excellent by someones standards it will sell well.
And then you might have the courage to keep going and do a third case that might be excellent by my/his/her statdards, and that will sell well.

DAN we need excellent cases from you, Italian(/German) suites that fit us perfectly, not off the shelf Zara/GAP stuff.

I really like the aesthetics of the C4. The design is what attracted me to this case and the fact that you are improving features and compatibility is what made it clear I will buy this case when available. In my opinion I think the larger size is something I would prefer for the long run and I feel it would make it more flexible for future owners. I was planning to watercool my C4 (current size) if I can't manage temps or if the size of high-end parts don't fit. I may still need to watercool depending on those reasons with the new size but that is yet to be determined. I have never done a custom loop but I would do it just to make it work with this case. I'm not sure if many people buying think like me and many don't do custom watercooling for many reasons like price, added work, fears of leaks, etc. The new size keeps the looks of the current size and from the images it won't be much bigger. I think you should go with the new bigger size but either way I'm buying. I look forward to the release!

Here is a first research for the new RTX 40x0 Series. The green labeled cards will fit. What do you think should we really increase the C4-SFX again to support this madness?

Here is a small example.

1) I would never increase the width of the case. With 166mm max GPU height is 148mm.
2) Best case for Slot size would be 3.75 slot.
3) Best case for length would be 360mm but nearly all cards that are over 340mm in length are more than 145mm in height. So 340mm would be sweetspot.

It would require making the case 20mm longer and 10mm increased in height. New dimension:
354x251x166 = 14.8l

With these changes all MSI, INNO3D, COLORFUL cards will fit. Some Gigabyte will fit. But still all ZOTACS and all big ASUS will not fit. So the only real benifit is fitting the MSI cards. What do you think?
Will the MSI 4080 Ventus X3 (16GB model) actually fit though? Acording to the MSI product page the card is 63mm thick which is 3.15 slots if I'm not mistaken and the A4 H2O case spec sheet says 3 slots (60mm) max. Also the length of 322mm would be right on the edge for that case. With the FE card probably almost unobtainable again the MSI Ventus would be the only 16 GB option that's left.

UPDATE:

... I estimate that it will be close to 50% / 50%.

A picture is worth a thousand words

90% of the votes where did in the first two days. Back than the result was 47% 13.37L and 53% 14.70L. Yes I checked if someone spammed or manipulate the result but it is what it is.

So I will sample the 14.70L version. In the meanwhile I will wait for AMDs RX 7x00 release. Then I will start manufacture 13.37L or 14.70L. It all depends on AMD :)

Daniel

Is it out of possibility to manufacture both sizes? C4 and C4 Max?

Maybe something like an top-to-front extender would do? Stick to the 13.37L, but with a removable 90° side-part, and sell the "C4 Extension Kit", which would feature a length and height extender, in two colors, and allows to attach the regular front plate to it, too.

On the other hand, implementing that would probably cost as much as just manufacturing two cases ..

I am not a fan of sellen two products that are sooo close to each other. If we are talking about 10 vs 15L ok but 13.37L vs 14.70L is so close.

Understood. As I read others' comments above the point of multiple sizes would be to release 13.37L version sooner than later, while still allowing for a larger and more compatible version to follow. The larger case could either supplement or replace the original iteration.

I feel like this would essentially satisfy the 50% that want the case as is and the 50% that want to wait for the larger version.

All I want is to fit a 4090 FE without suffocating the flow through fan, is that too much to ask 😂

When will we actually be able to buy this case? Will it be available on newegg?

edit:
You need to pay attention to the 4090FE power connector - it is highly advised that it doesn't get bend too much
