How's the possibility of getting an order with all solid panels? Would it be a huge extra cost, or doable?

I'll ask @KSliger!

Huh..you are counting on only a 92mm fan to exhaust all hot air (if side and top panels are plain)

Fans could be installed on the bottom or front, as well. Fan arrangements would be interesting though.

Interesting, many cases out there have solid panels (TG is consider solid). Even though the thermals in solid cases are usually less than ideal, manufacturers keep making them because people keep buying them.

Might be ATX on rear so effectively 140mm rear exhaust

I guess if exhausting is going to be mostly tpassive it becomes more important to either blanket the intakes zones with fans (front & bottom) or block off the vents areas adjacent those intake fans else risk driving some of the air straight back out next the fan and running in circles rather than flowing through the case.

Vented PCIe plates (or removed) to increase the rear outflow might be part of the plan too?

Still doesn't seem to leave much for outflow, low power system plans?

Well, cooling psu with hot air for cpu or case is still a bad idea for me. I did once in the past..and my psu didn’t last long...;)

Best proof is current layout of cases with psu located almost at bottom with good intake from outside..;)

Still having only plain panels are the contrary of proper case airflow..;)
@Pat-Roner asked it also to @Necere on m5..to have plain panels..;)

@KSliger and @PlayfulPhoenix, I know that you guys have talked about other possible color options down the road. Is there any possibility for a custom color option in the future?

Specifically, I would love a purple/amethyst case. I realize that it's unlikely to be a popular color. Any idea what kind of cost such an option would run, or would I be better off ordering a bare metal case and finding a paint shop on my own? I'm willing to wait however long to have one done by you fellas, but I would certainly understand if it is not something that can/will ever happen.

or would I be better off ordering a bare metal case and finding a paint shop on my own?

This would be the fastest and most economical option.

We can do it here on order if you PM me, but we charge $150/hr for powder coat, 1 hour minimum, plus powder charges. Total would be ~$200-$250 if we have the powder in stock, or ~$250-$500 if we have to buy the powder (5 pound box minimum, and powders in small quantity range $10-$35 per pound). Small local shops will probably have better price as we're set up for quantity runs, they may be more set up for doing one offs like rims, bicycle parts, etc. and have lower overhead costs.

What about venting on the front panel?
Even if in the centre flat piece, in the same pattern as the side panels.
Would help with intake if using 15mm noctua fans on the front.

I’ve tried that on my cerberus-x. You can put noctua a12x15 on exterior front side, you have enough clearance behind front panel.

Just wondering if it will be starved as is, I'd much rather have free flowing air on the front.
going off secondhand professional opinion here (that is Linus): it's kinda similar to the coolermaster H500 thing (where the front panel is very close against the fans) and although it does increase temps with the panel there vs not, it shouldn't be a problem if it's just one GPU

Whew, left work 11pm last night just to get back at 4 for more overtime. Not sure if my excitement or sleep deprivation will kill me first XD. Another $400 to my rig though :).

So with an ATX motherboard, since I have no plans about blocking the bottom expansion ports, I could still use a thick rad correct? Possibly needing to order right angle connections for fan headers or data cables (still bed to look at board layout). 80ish mm after rad, fan, and fan cover.

The side panels vent pattern on the front panel would remedy that. :)
Wondering if it is an option, short of getting a laser cutting shop onto it in Australia.

Will be able to do two solid side panels, but not a solid top panel as it creates too many SKU options right now. (due to colors and handle)

Thanks. Would it be as simple as a comment added to the order, then get a solid sidepanel instead of a vented one, or would it be a custom order with having to pay extra for the solid one?
