Can you share how the SFX bracket is connected? I was wondering if I could use the overtek flexatx-> SFX adapter (https://www.overtek.co.uk/collectio...flex-atx-black-anodise-aluminium-adapter-copy) with offset with an ATX motherboard (or narrow ATX motherboard 305mm x 210mm) if the components under the PSU area are 25mm or lower...

That adapter would work in general if it uses 6-32 threads (sfox psu is mounted with standoffs, no bracket) but this idea won't work because even a narrow ATX mbo enters that space, it goes all the way to the top of the case. Only small GAN psus will work if you find a way to mount them.

Ah, thanks for confirming. I guess I should have pulled the trigger on the P-ATX when it restocked. Ooops. Is there another batch of those coming too?

Hello Riba, been a while since we chatted. I am now back with a question regarding this case. What is the timeframe on this case being available? I have changed my plans from a self-contained watercooled build to a 4080S and a 7800X3D air cooled build. The GPU in mind is a bit of an unobtainium model in the US market, so I'm planning on reaching out and spending more for a international market model if possible. If not, I'll find the next closest fit that will fit within the confines of the U-ITX.

I will hopefully be out withing the next few weeks, I will have pieces in my hand on Tuesday so I will check if everything looks good!

I can’t wait also. The airflow has to be much better than the other cases. Like the T1 or S400/300 isn’t it?
Technically the T1 has better airflow due the two fans at the top that exhaust which is literally airflow. This case has one advantage compared to other console style cases and that is having the gpu and cpu facing the same direction. This will be better for horizontal use but it also has its drawbacks and that is recycling the hot air from the top. Other cases like the s4 mini or the sentry have gpu and cpu facing opposite directions which should be better in horizontal use. We have to see how it compares to other console style cases.
The T1 is another direction with the sandwich layout which is basically the sentry style but with optional fans at the top

I had the S400 and S300. Both Cases are in my opinion to big and heavy. Nearly 2kg empty and 1,6kg. And the others are even heavier.
These Typ of cases are bulky. It’s not a Console form factor.
And even with the two Fans the heat is collecting in the middle of the Case. The backplate of the GPU is to close to the CPU cooler! I think not a good solution. My only concern with the u-itx is heat at the back of the GPU. I hope that the holes on the sidepanel helps. Maybe we can add some thin tiny Fans.

I wish there would be a smaller case for Dual GPUs and a smaller PSU in the same style.

Im not familiar with the d300/s400 but I have the formd t1 and no issues with it.
The sentry 2.0 was good for lower wattage cards but the guy from hardware Canucks pit a 3090 in there and hat to print a side panel with fan mounts for more cooling.
These console cases have drawbacks and we have to wait and see how the u-itx behaves under load.
We all want the unicorn case that’s small, aesthetic pleasant and can take the biggest and hottest hardware out there but some things are hard to change.
I can’t wait for this case to come out for travelling to friends and use it as a console on my tv.

I didnt have any issues with that in the S400. The main problem is the location of the PSU extension socket, which blocks most of the area above the mainboard, so cooling that is a very hit-and-miss thing. If you go with anything but the Air Slimmer 120, cooling is sub-par. And even then its just so-so. I did use a combination of P12 Max + Air Slimmer 120, so this "heat collecting in the middle" thing did never occur with my setup, but the MB side still got very warm.

Weight-wise, its okayish, could be better, but its all a thing about availability and costs - the S400 is much easier available and also, costs less, than say something like a FormD T1, a Custom Mod case, or even the cases by SFFTime. I only ditched it because of the heat situation with my CPU. Remember, not everyone is located in eg. the US (I'm in Europe).

Going back to topic:

Currently I'm both eyeing the U-ITX and P-ATX, for a potential mix of high-tier CPU (7950X), mid-tier GPU (RTX 4070), mid-tier but premium PSU (HDPlex GaN 500) and "as much CPU cooling as possible" (figuring out 120 or 240 AIO _or_ custom loop).

Hi @riba2233 ,

Stupid question but has there been any changes in terms of GPU clearance dimensions? Got a Zotac 4080 Super Trinity that is 306.8mm long lol, just to know if I will have to sand it down a bit

Anyway can't wait for the next announcement 😁
