Im moving my rig into a sandwich style case and have the same mobo and cpu as this. I have about 55mm of clearance so im looking at the axp90 x53 cooler. What are some of your bios settings to keep this beast tame?

Not sure if what I did was the best way to make it work but here you go:

first I changed PL1 and PL2 both to 125W and did a Cinebench run, observing that temps would reach 100C very fast.

next I discovered a MSI BIOS feature called "CPU Lite Load" which was set to Mode 9 out of the box. Every mode has some factory pre-settings for CPU voltage curves. I started to set lower modes step by step until Cinebench started crashing. For me that was Mode 5 and it lowered temps quite a lot.

With the thermal headroom gained with CPU Lite Load I then started to increase PL1, PL2 and PL2 duration until I found the right balance (for me) between performance and CPU temperature.

Hope that helps...
