First review of EVGA XC3...:D

How does it performed? Well it's Jay2cents...a lot of blabla...not a lot of numbers...:D
It seems definitely quieter than FE version at very similar performance.

Enough numbers to know that it is a 3080...and performs within error-margins of the FE. On an open-test bench.

Hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more.

Will the EVGA XC3 fit in Loque Ghost S1?
I've pre ordered it but i'am not sure if it fits and it's the smallest 3080 i can find, except the founders, which was only a paper launch.

XC3 is a 2.2 slots width, 44mm.
It’s fitting SM550 but I guess not in loque and dan A4.

Thank you :)

That's what i think too, but EVGA will release Models without Backplate, around 40,1mm so maybe they do.
I don't want to beleve that i must stuck on 1080TI because a few mm....

If lack 2 slots RTX 3080/90 gpu is confirmed, maybe newer and larger version of dan A4 loque ghost will be released.

While waiting for hypothetical and potential stock of RTX 3080 it gave me time to look at good old memory : AMD R9 290X; back to 2013, fully watercooled system in Bitfenix Phenom (Prodigy derivative)...
And this video has just reminded me that :

Back in 2013, R9 290X was considered as power hungry...but nowadays...nobody complained that much of power consumption of RTX 3080..:D

Leading to my conclusion : I will give close attention to big navi...who knows..;)
Date of my last full AMD (/ATI) setup, I guess it was in 2005 : AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ paired with ATI 1800XT..:D Can it happened again 15 years later?..:)

After this launch....I'm kind of drooling for the new AMD CPUs coming. They should make that gaming delta even less at lower res.

Since they already have 8/16 parts at '65W' in massive finger quotes, I wonder if they'll be able to get 10/20 at that.
They already have one at 12/24... just not available to consumers. I'm hoping that will change in the upcoming generation.
