Welcome! @macbosco is the creator so he is the official source on these details. I am just a regular user and an early access reviewer but let me try helping. The price target is ~$150 for the base unit. This is going to be crowdfunded soon in January as I recall. The website is yet available. In a moment, I will add the relevant posts here in this post.

Pricing:
USD 190 full bundle, USD160 base unit only + shipping, for full retail price

I've just seen this project.
Is there a Web Site?
is there a price?
When will it be available for ordering?
Thanks

Welcome, I am creator of Steck, it is under community testing at the moment. It is scheduled to roll out soon (Dec-Jan).
It is my plan to launch in KS initially (with introductory offer) and then be available on the Nouvolo website.

For the moment, please check this thread, especially my first post for information about this product.

This is different from other KS project in that there will be 500 units in stock from bulk production run right off the bat as all development has been done. So less risk and waiting for backers/buyers. Please keep checking here for updates, website will be launched soon (Nov/Dec).

I still need to get some youtube reviewers to have a look at this and it really helps if you could spread the word around and build up some noise for a successful roll out.

How do the CPU temps compare between the stock side panels and your new acrylic ones in an RPM normalized test of the CPU cooler?

I can Run the same tests did yesterday in the next days! It will be not normalized, but same ambient temp, same position, same BIOS config.

I think is fair enough! What do you think?

Under Prime, 8K test was fixed at 3.7GHZ at 85 degrees with the stock panels, and the Noctua fan in exhaust mode.

it was under a fan curve. I can keep the same? Or is better to set a fixed speed, like 3.8 GHz and monitor with a fixed speed?

Its better to set a fixed speed, that way you don't get any dither from the PWM control. If you're worried about thermal throttling, locking it to 90 or 100% fan speed is totally fine. You just want what ever value you pick to be the same between the two tests for an apples to apples comparison.

Let's focus on our tasks at hand.

@testers, maybe you can share with rest of them the experience of this as a whole. I am not only providing the product here. I want to deliver an experience as an enthusiast to other enthusiasts. I am here also to provide a "service", an enjoyable experience. Creator is just like one of the testers, only with a little bit more of initiation. Have fun with our hobby! I wouldn't do it if it's not fun anymore.

You know what? Once I have decided the way it is managed right now, with the money involved, I damn well make sure I and rest of you at least go to have some fun out of it.

Overall working with you on this project has been an extremely enjoyable experience. I came a little late to the party relative to some others involved, but managed to snag the last test package as a contingency. I've had a thing for building computers for the past 15 odd years and as hardware and my tastes improved, SFF became more and more attractive. From modding an old Dell optiplex, to building a handful of Node 202s for data acquisition and HTPCs, and now to playing with the Steck, the experience and enjoyment of the builds just continues to get better and better.

Given how easy it is to assemble, cable manage, and rebuild in a Steck, it provides a truly premium experience, more so than any SFF chassis I've built in previously, and this is just the pre-production test model! Others coming from fancier and more expensive cases like a Dan A4, Ncase M1, or S4mini might feel differently, but this is my first time with a build of this level of craftsmanship.

Going beyond just using the chassis, Macbosco has been great regarding every aspect of the community effort. He has been super transparent about the process, never lacking in communication, and always super open to tweaks and modifications from community feedback. Basically, It's just been a lot of fun to take part in this endeavor, and I find myself checking and rechecking the forum when I probably should be working.

That is gorgeous! I'd pay you to make me a set of those acrylic panels for my black Steck.
Agreed! On that note, who here is interested in selling custom parts and modding services for the Steck? When I get my full review finished and published, it might be worthwhile including a directory of mod sellers.
