Quick-test: Rise of the Tomb Raider Prologue+Syria - 60-80fps, 130-160W, average 150W.
Did you solve your reset issues with the Pico 160XT? I have more or less the same setup as you have but i get resets even at 130W total.
I have tried TDP capping my CPU to 35W and the GPU at 60% TDP but even with 130-140W i get resets.

Im considering the HDPLEX instead of the Pico as it seems more or less impossible to sustain 160-170W with this setup and not resetting.

Not really. I decreased power target to 80% and core/mem by -100 MHz initially but didn't have enough time to complete testing. Once my HDPLEX 160W arrived, I've been testing it today on BF1 for a whole two hours (stock clocks, 1080P, Full AA) and it seems to work perfect!

I didn't get a Dell PSU though, just a "generic" $70 one from HK.

So essentially replacing the pics with the hdplex 160w seems to have solved the issue?
The weird part is that it only resets when I run synthetic tests like furmark.
I had DOOM running for 2 hours with everything at max settings and an average 178W and no resets...

Too early to say, my feel is that changing to HDPLEX only gives more power-peak headroom (ability to use 330W brick).
