Just signed up so I could provide an update here. This is my first M1 build, previously used the silverstone sugo shoebox cases but no luck for a 3080 in there!

Ncase M1 v6.1
Asus RTX 3080 TUF OC
Corsair SF750

Installation is easy
Fits with the frontpanel connectors installed (ie all the front panel usb/audio etc)
You WILL need the MODDIY 180 degree PCIe connectors if you want to put the side panel on the case. This is a tall card.
You need the TYPE B connectors for this card.
You will probably want to order some custom shorter PCIe 8 pin cables. The ones that come with the SF750 are WAY too long and have a second daisy chained connector that makes it hard to cable manage. I ordered some 160mm cables which is about half the length of stock from Cablemod you can use their configurator to make sure you get the right thing for your PSU.

Hi I just purchased tuf 3080. I am curious what's TYPE B connectors for?

The mod diy 180 degree PCIe connectors have 2 different types available. You need the type B ones for this card.

these are super Low profile PCIe power adapters, without them there is no way you’re going to close the case side panel as the plug and cables extend too far.

Pretty sure the posters who said Zotac 3080/3090 cards fit the M1 nicely all have reverse GPU sag.

Snagged a 3080 Holo early to muck around with while waiting on the rest of a new ITX rig coming later this month. I tried fitting it into my v1 Ncase, even after removing the USB, audio and power button, the front I/O bracket would not fit the case.

Based on the design of the I/O bracket here (https://ncases.com/collections/m1-accessories/products/m1-front-io-kit) I expect the v6 to also have the same issue.

Some pics for reference:

thats not exactly true - the point is to deshround the card. If you deshroud the Zotac 3080 - it will fit nicely.

see this imgr post:
The cards are listed by Necere to fit, whereas I think they should be labelled as "not" like the Gigabyte Gaming/Eagle/Vision, which require deshrouding to fit the Ncase. Labeling these separately to "fit after deshroud" would be far more accurate.

I'm open to deshrouding the card anyway, but given the price I paid for it and how the card will be used, I'd rather swap it for a Trinity + cash (the Holo was the only card in stock anywhere when I got it), or a TUF.

So I got the Arktek RTX 3080.

I have a modified V5 though (as I can't find this thread for V5), but from what I understand it should be the same.

It fits lengthwise but makes having even the front power button impossible:

However, a deshrowd is perfect for this case and I can use front USB and audio without any tight bending:

The 25mm thick fans fit perfectly, with a nice tight fit:

To deshrows, it only had 4 screws, but they must be accessed from underneath, which is managable for 3 of the screws:

However, one screw is impossible if you don't have something like an ifixit screwdriver bit to use separately with plyers:

On a side note, I did do some cutting to get unimpeded airflow as the V5 airflow from the bottom was quite bad, and I used MB standoff screws with a rubber tube to hide them in order to raise the feet higher.:

This is the capacitor configuration if you are interested:

All in all, a good, minor fus (just that one screw) card that only works for deshrowds (for which it's perfect for) and water cooling (reference PCB from what I can tell).

I have a corsair SF600 platinum psu, but I notice several people here have the SF750 with their 3080. Is it necessary to have a 750 watt psu or is a platinum 600 watt PSU enough?

I personally was able to install a Zotac 3070 Twin Edge without any issue. Just removed the old graphics card and put the 3070 in. The clearance is really tight, but the side panel goes on without issue and without bulging

Updated the list with Zotac AMP Holo and Twin Edge cards.

The installation of a Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge was not straightforward for me !
The case+card+mobo prevented the card from rising above the PCIE slot correctly for it to slot in. This was mainly due to the expansive square corners of the Zotac´s backplate. On my Z390-i ROG Strix there is no space to ´rotate´ the card into the slot from the side and dropping the card in from the top was not possible so I had to ask myself the question; Do I trim the NCase or the Zotac backplate (£200 case vs a £500 graphics card) 🤔 ?
I dusted off my Dremel grinder, removed a small strip of the folded metal above the PCIE port area pictured and now this is gone, installation and removal of all my PCI devices is way way much easier.

Other than that, and the fact you cannot use Microphone incorporated headphones in the front panel jack, I´m happy with my NCase.
Hopefully the designer is looking and he´ll consider these as modifications in the future.

I upgraded from an SF600 to an SF750.
From what I gathered, your SF600 can handle it, but won't be recommended as you are dangerously close to it's limits.
It also depends on what CPU you use. I'm using a 5900x.

This has already been confirmed but I will add my build here too in the hope it will help others.

I got the Asus RTX 3070 TUF in v6.1 case. The fit was tight like everyone else has said. I managed to fit the card without removing anything other than the exterior panels and the side mounted fan mount.

The card clears the front panel with USB ports in and I used @radnox lego anti sag to prevent the fan from clipping the front panel cables. Looking at the case from the front, I used a 2x2 stacked with 1 full height and 2 flat pieces high and a 1x2 for the right.

Some pictures of the setup:

@Tuxinator94 Could you please post pictures of your lego anti-sag once again? it stopped showing.

I don't think that should be a problem then, as I'm running a 9900 KF and plan on doing some undervolting on the 3080.

What I'm now curious if I need to get one of the Moddiy connectors (https://www.moddiy.com/products/GPU...180-Degree-Angle-Connector-Adapter-Board.html) when used with an EVGA XC3 3080. This would mean the custom length cables I ordered for my 1080 ti would be partially useless.

Hi guys, long time lurker here. Thanks for everyone that's contributed to this thread. It's helped me a lot.

I just wanted to do my part and inform everyone that the Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity OC actually fits in the NCase M1 V6.1

Installation wasn't too bad. I did have my front IO Ports removed.

I don´t follow the thread very closely, but I´m looking for a watercooled solution for a 3080/3090 card, and it´s not easy because of the width available.

I write here just to say that alphacool has this block, with the connection on the rear, which gives us a lot of room on the side left.

the manual is still not online so there are not more precise measurements, but I wouldn´t be surprised if we can put one of the dc-lt housings on the rear of the card, so one can make itself a sort of gpu block+pump combo

I think the 27mm dimension is too thick to have a 15mm fan and the tx240 radiator get enough air flow.

this guy has the FE card, which has the inlet/outlet at same location as the alpha cool card:

so it confirms you can do a custom loop with the inlet/outlet in that location

I think the best ones are:

EK reference (220x124x20.5mm)
EK zotac (231x124x20.5mm)
EK xc3 (275x124x20.5mm)
bitspower founders (216x98.2x23.2)
watercool reference (230 x 119 x 21 mm)

Based on some comments on reddit, the EK ones break (they're the thinnest out of all blocks). So be careful handling them and inspect them after you receive it. The EK XC3 one doesn't match the build of the actual card. So some of the themal pads you use don't actually do anything and i believe this casues coil whine. I'm too lazy to find the reddit thread on sffpc or watercooling. Unclear if EK updated their design on this one. The bitspower one is in the reddit build i just linked. The watercool one is new, I don't know if anyone has it yet.

I haven't been lucky enough to get a 3080 yet. Those are the models i'm looking at (the only reference models in my country is the PNY one). I'm probably going to avoid the XC3.

Thank you for the comment, very helpful!

I was also looking at the heatkiller because they have also an optional active cooled backplate, which is something I like, but there are no pics around.

i see that build on reddit and I think that the bottom rad is doing close to nothing; in my first dual rad loop on the Ncase I used a alphacool LT 25 on the bottom with scythe slim fans (17mm) and I tell you that temps were the same exactly than using just one radiator, I changed for the xspc and noctua slim (15mm) and it improved a lot, so... those thick gpu blocks are a no-go for me because if the bottom rad has no room to breathe it will do nothing. Thanks for pointing out because I didn´t realised the alphacool block was so thick.
