4,VX set for PCfi CAS,5.5*2.5 DCjack ,linear regulator in.so you can compare Gunique PSU with other band's PICO things.by constomized directly soldered cable,Gunique saved lot of precious and limited space on the basic unit, and offer you more and more components like capacitors ,mosfets etc. to increase performance(not by those big, cheap connectors).
and cause it is 12V-in type PSU,it generates little heat that it dont need any heatsink to cover.

5,Arch Deamon limited edition (No2)+ultimate version Modded brick ,dual pci-e 6+2pin VGA cable witn one changable, this set can run i7+1080ti or titan pascal:

Hello @guryhwa can the HDPLEX 300W AC-DC(or the upcoming 400W) power the G-unique?
The power connector is standard Molex Mega Fit 6PIN Male.
Will be ideal to use your solution instead of a HDPLEX 400 DC-DC for the S4Mini to fit the upcoming 400W AC-DC inside the case.
I'm positive that there are many people interested in that possibility!
Would you offer a 6PIN variant of the G-unique with shorter cable (because HDPLEX AC-DC has its own long cable)?
Thanks for your great work and dedication!

No.

HDPLEX uses 19V. G-Unique uses 12V.

Hey everyone, I was going to order one of these with a Dell brick and I was curious...

Why 4 pairs of DC output wires? I'm guessing to power more than one PSU simultaneously? Can one have only one of these connected to reduce extra cables? How does one decide between a 16 and 26 awg pair?

Why don't you ask him??

You are pushing a lot of power. More power = more wires.

He's using Mini-Fit connectors so you use 16 awg for it. You don't "choose" between the 26 awg or 16 awg. that's just how the connector is. Look at a regular ATX PSU. See how there's 24 wires coming out of it? It's not powering 12 different computers is it?

If you want just 2 wires, you have to do the 400w one, or request XT90 connectors instead of mini-fit.

It seems you are inexperienced with 12V builds in general, so I recommend you to stay away until you read up on how things work.

That makes sense, thanks. I had not seen power bricks with mini-fits before this, but that aside, I feel I have a good grip on this. I appreciate your post though.

The setup with 6 16AWG and 2 26AWG wires is just the default cable of the DELL 12V 220W power brick Gury mods to achieve the stated output. 3 are for the 12V line, 3 are GND and the two thin ones are remote sensing wires.

All those wires are together in one thick cable - going to the Mini-Fit connector - so there is no cable you could eliminate.

Is the G-Unique overheating on an i7+1080 on long sessions or its fine?
Somewhere i read bout people reporting overheats or maybe i am mistaking :)

Might be this question has been answered before; if so, sorry for that. My search skills are somewhat lacking.

Anyhow, @guryhwa, is it possible to order the G-Unique with the load-switched 8-pin PCIe plug with a different power connector than the 8-pin mini-fit? I'm in early stages of planning a HTPC build with a Mean Well AC-DC PSU, powered by an OC'd APU, but I would like the option to add a low-powered GPU down the line if I want/need the performance. If not, I suppose I'd need to order it with a shortened wire to the mini-fit connector as well as finding a means of connecting the AC-DC unit to that? The screw-mounted PCB doesn't look ideal for placing inside of a case, although I suppose I could hot-glue it to the side panel or rig up some sort of bracket.

Any internal power brick? Would live to see the internal volume reduced.
Thank you.
Depends on the wattage you need, but Mean Well has heaps of AC-DC 12V bricks for internal mounting. Some (like the EPP and RPS series) are quite small and have excellent efficiency (>90%). The smaller units deliver up to 200W (with some direct airflow; most are ~150W without), while a reasonable jump in size gives you 400W. There's a whole thread on those over here.

can the ultimate brick for a 1080ti be equipped with those 2x XT90 connectors?
How does this look?
I would like to see what Gury makes out of those XT90 connectors, because some months ago Gury told me on Discord he does not use them.

EDIT: something like this maybe?

WOW, i think i found the best looking connector that has the needed control pins and two FAT pins for the current:

Why would you need two XT90 connectors? One of them is good for about 1000W (90A @ 12V) - even an ultimate brick can't deliver that kind of power without blowing up.
I believe most of his custom metal enclosed powerbricks now come with the XT90 connector.

@blubblob because every Dell brick needs one or two additional cables for power on and some feedbacksignal (Guru told me)

i asked him about this:

and he told me we need at least four as far as i remember.

therefor the MT90 would be AWESOME
