„...there is a way to use a 92mm rad with noctua a9x14fans with the TFX PSU when using ITX boards.“

Regarding the Asetek 545LC AIO with Noctua Fan, so the front fan bracket supports 92mm? :)
I would appreciate a quick render or at least a visualization sketch how the 545LC would be mounted into the case! :)

My current idea for this case is going to be the upcoming Asrock Z390M-ITX board with the eight core CPUs which hopefully launch during Computex in June or maybe as a surprise even earlier after the new RYZEN Release. This will be really an unique CPU as it’s going to bring an Intel eight core with integrated graphics so in an ITX setup like this there will be no need for a dedicated GPU and I would be able to use the system with a pcie capture card for streaming and encoding. In addition it’ll be my travel video editing setup and even as I will still use my 8700K in my gaming system I will be able to render without using my main system. Really looking forward into this case as I already have the Seasonic TFX-350 and as the PSU fan just turns on after exceeding 200W and even an overclocked fully stressed i7-7820X doesn’t hit the 200W it’ll be a quiet well cooled system. Oh and it would replace my current HTPC so many usecases! :D Can’t wait to see some hardware inside! Cheers

smallish update

yesterday was my 1 year forum anniversary and yesterday I got the case in my hands :)
I'm still a bit cathartic,I know it may sound cheesy but I'm really happy with it and it is symbolic for me.
Its really nice in person, the texture feels great. I have a few things here and there to fix but overall I'm really liking this a LOT!
Expect some pictures down the week but only for the case assembly thought. I'll have to wait at least another week for some parts to arrive because the store mixed up my psu.. sigh

Also, the new screws improved quite a bit the looks of it, here's some photos with a banana for scale:

sorry for the scale joke

Any chance to see this weekend some pictures with some hardware inside the case? And maybe some clarification about the 92mm AIO placement? Really want to make some decisions regarding the internals hehe don’t want to put you under pressure but I am really stoked about this project! <3 Cheers

also thanks for the support!

:( some bad news

the aesteck watercooler does not fit with tfx psu layout :( at first I thought it was 30mm only, but that was only the radiator and not the housing itself, which is 35mm. (source: https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/asetek-92mm-aio-measurements-needed.2693/ )

radiator + slim fans clipping on the motherboard :/

the space under the motherboard is actually 46mm, so, 11mm 92mm fan is out of question :/

sorry about this guys, I've should have checked this better before making any statement.

there is space with some minor modding, like, fixing the radiator directly on the side panel. screws showing on the outside of the case.
since this is really not how we intended the case to be used, I don't plan on adding this as a base model, but I could offer an option with this screw holes for those who really need it.

on the dc-atx layout, with external brick and mini itx motherboard is possible to have 2slot low profile gpu + this aesetek radiator with 25mm fans.

edit: its a bit funny looking at these models now with the case right in front of me. things make a lot more sense now

What are you gonna install in it or testing purposes ?

I'm planning on a r5 2600 or 1600 and a gtx 1050 (don't know yet for ti) if i do such a build

I have heading my way an Asrock motherboard, its almost mini itx. I'll be using my i7 4790.

I have bought a TGW 300w seasonic but.... I'm having some doubts of this legitimacy right now because it has the wrong sticker on it wtf?
.___. anyone knows where I can find old seasonic models? no models match the description. its a body of a TGW 80plus gold, but it says TFX 300w bronze

I am not sure about that but aren’t the 300w tfx models all 80+ bronze and 350w are the 80+ Gold? I have a Seasonic 350W 80+ Gold, it’s called SS-350TGM.

And regarding the cooler compatibility, the Asetek AIO is now out of the question I guess.
The new Noctua NH-L12S looks promising tho. What’s the biggest topblower / cooler you confirmed for your case? :) Kind regards

Oh so the case is compatible with short micro atx board , ok i'll consider that (but the x79 board are reals micro atx unfortunately)
I got my eyes on the bequiet 300w model (which is super quiet apparently so that's nice)

Like that one ??
https://www.google.fr/search?rlz=1C...0k1j0i24k1.0.ycN5RoDCsi0#imgrc=GpOS0gNqHKuWgM:

about the PSU I guess I got a refurbished model or something like that. I've read that seasonic is not oficially on Brazil anymore. should have read that sooner. for those of you who have this option, I'd recommend the Bequiet TFX 300w or the siilverstone one.

the one I got look like this : https://http2.mlstatic.com/seasonic...ld-D_NQ_NP_709083-MLB26433451896_112017-F.jpg but the sticker is wrong LOL and its mustard cables but o well, I wont be looking inside it anyway

thanks for the understanding, and yes ,the noctua NH-L12S is a great choice :) maximum CPUcooler height is 74mm / but that is basically touching the exterior panel

No idea to be honest :/ TFX PSU's are still pretty mysterious

74mm ? Nice the stock amd cooler fits then ! (without the shroud maybe)

yup! that was pretty important early on. Didn't want to force anyone on buying a cooler without the need too. I know stock intel isnt that good but amd ones are very decent for the sub 65w chips.
it seems that stock wraith cooler is around 70mm talll, it should theorically fit.

Yeah theoratically, at worst i'll leave the side panel off until a low profile cooler arrives
Vega nano is apparently coming, but not low profile :/ That's a shame

But hey gpu prices are going down a bit so good news ?

Also small question, when will the spec sheet be available ? (cause i might wait for the bigger brother to fit a beefier config i don't know yet)

spec wise, the CG7 cravo won't be changing too much from now on. in a week or two I'll be able to show better what fits in it.

do you have any specific question about the CG7 cravo?

about the bigger model, It will have duo layout like this one, and the standard layout will support M-ATX with TFX psu for low profile GPU. it will take a while, but after the Cravo launches I'll go back to polishing that project. structurally is a very similar case but there's some parts of the DC-ATX layout that I want to be perfected first

I just have a hard time understanding what motherboad does it support with a tfx psu
Mini itx yes but micro atx ?
