In general, after seeing all the build threads people have posted, I get the feeling that most Cerberus users have opted for m.2 SSDs so to help lower the cost of this case, the 3.5" mounts are sold separately for the few that still require them.

Woof. You'd think at least one 3.5 bracket/cage would be thrown in, seeing as it is a premium ATX size case, whereas smaller premium ITX cases have brackets by default. Oh well, what's another 50 dollars at this point.

Maybe and not to be rude but if that's the case I think there needs to be a bit more thought put into how that's going to impact airflow.

Definitely a concern, only need three 3.5s though. Each bracket holds 2 drives? That's good to know.

And yes this is kind of a strange use case, most of my work is music production so having 3.5 drives is crucial, since SSDs are cost prohibitive and unnecessary for multiple terabytes of samples. Will be going with the M2 drive as the OS drive. The general upgradeability of ATX/ not super tiny (hot) cases like the NCase or Dan is the draw here.

Those are fan screws. I used them for my 120mm Fan on the side bracket.

I'm slightly terrified now, I may have used screws that look a lot like those to mount my 3.5" HDD in the bracket... it seems to be ok...

It's entirely possible, though when I was rearranging things in my build today I removed the drive from the bracket entirely and didn't notice anything that seemed unexpected, or shrapnel.

I‘ve thankfully established that I have not tapped myself new hdd mount points, but the two types of screw do look similar enough to my amateur eye that I’m not surprised that I freaked out a bit.

Ncase fan filters will fit in Cerberus-x and will cover the fans. However, they will not cover the whole chassis vents
