What happens in Vegas... we'll share with you all here! (+ a giveaway!)

Hey all,

I'm excited to share that SFF Network will have our largest-ever crew on-location at CES 2019 this week! As the conference progresses, be sure to check out the forum and SFF Network for updates from us as we prowl the show floor, looking for what's next in the SFF space (and maybe-probably-definitely getting into the occasional shenanigans).

In celebration of the exciting week to come, I'd also like to kick off what is probably our biggest giveaway to date! On the workshop table we have a collection of pretty solid gear to give out, including:

One (1)
Silverstone CS280 NAS chassis... for that 60TB media library you've always wanted but never had the room for.

Two (2)
Silverstone SX650-G PSUs... for a new SFF build that's truly without compromise.

One (1)
Corsair h115i RGB Platinum 280mm AIO... for people without taste. Erm, I mean, for people who like lights and colors and stuff, I guess. No judgement here.

One (1)
Noctua C14S... For efficient-as-hell cooling, whether you care about performance or acoustics.

One (1)
ASRock X399m... For when 16 cores just isn't enough.

To enter the giveaway, simply share in this thread what you're looking forward to this year – be it SFF related or not! Standard T's and C's apply below. We will draw one winner for each of the prizes sometime next week. Entries will be closed on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:59 EST.

Giveaway is open worldwide, except where prohibited. No purchase is necessary to enter. Shipping will be paid for by SFF Network, a division of Minutiae Media. Any taxes or Customs charges are the responsibility of the winner. Minutiae Media reserves the right to send the prize without tracking at winner's risk if shipping costs an arm and a leg. No hardware other than what's specified is included. Standard terms and conditions apply.

Not so SFF: where are the NBASE-T USB adapters?? They were supposed to drop in 2018 and they didn't. So, I hope they will show up at CES and then on taobao, aliexpress, ebay, amazon approcximately in this order. I just went from 150Mnbps to 600 Mbps Internet in a month and I want to be prepared for the next doubling :D

A Thunderbolt power injector would be sweet but I know what it would cost so that won't happen.

A handheld 10GbE TB3 adapter with daisy chain capabilties would also be very sweet. Of course, someone might build an USB 3..1 Gen 2 10GbE adapter as well but I am afraid that just won't happen.

UDB C to old laptop charger adapters and vica versa, cheap and ubiquitous. Please :)

Looking forward to zen 2 and 7nm gpus at the end of the year. Also keeping my fingers crossed for more sff cases with proper watercooling support.

I dont really know, ideally some new ACDC adaptors, or a nice large mouse for claw grippers (The CM slim keyboard looks interesting though)

I'm about to build in the Dan Case A4 v2, so could really use some kick ass 65W cpu from AMD today!
Also looking for new cooler solution, maybe a black noctua?

I am hoping for competition in the GPU market with player 3 joining the game, it should be exciting!

A black NF-A9 would be lovely, though I probably should just suck up an get the B9 to quell my colour OCD (in a case with no windows where you cant see the fan, but I know the fans there, an its beige, an brown why!)

Also, slim (two slot max) aftermaket ITX GPU cooler to much to ask?

Looking forward to becoming more active again in this awesome community in 2019, the last half of a year has pulled me away from any semblance of free time - here is hoping! Happy 2019 to everyone.

I'm pretty happy with my sffpc as it currently is, but I am looking forward to AMD's new Ryzen offerings. I wouldn't mind upgrading from my 2400g.

Not sff related, I'm looking forward to getting married in October.
