I like mainly your mode on fan psu...my sx800-lti fan, if ever it failed, i know now that i can replace it with one of my noctua nf-a12x15..:)

How fan speed is managed? Fixed one?
Currently it's plugged to the motherboard PWM (going off VRM temps). Still trying to figure out which heatsink in the PSU is is the main one to stick the temperature probe to ._.

I had a busy weekend doing all sorts of random things, including a little more CAD work on the OSIDIAS design. However, there is one other project I’m trying to wrap up as well. I’ve been using an Android tablet in my Grand Cherokee, but have a 10.1” Lilliput capacitive touch monitor and Odroid XU4 combo that will be installed soon. As part of this new install, I’ve designed a new bezel with a USB rotary volume knob and buttons for switching external cameras for use while offroad. I finished the CAD work on the bezel yesterday, and it’s ready for printing. In the first pic you can see a very low resolution test print of a single side. I printed several of these throughout the process to test fitment due to all the curves that needed to be matched. The bottom pic shows the look I’m going for. It’s been revised a little since I grabbed the screenshot, but the overall concept is the same.

Talked to my boss yesterday about transferring to the office in Charlotte, NC. I'm ready to leave the San Francisco Bay Area. It's too expensive to live here and I will never afford a house here either. Turns out I can keep my team, title, and even salary. I can also use my PTO during the move. So now the wife and I are planning on driving cross country with all our stuff and our two cats. We're more than excited. First time home buyers.

PS, before living in CA, I lived in NC. It all comes full circle huh?

I really don't understand how all the big tech firms convince people to live and work in the most expensive markets in the US (ick) in addition to working for a big tech firm (blech). Think of all the stupid money (these firms have LOTS of stupid money) they could save by letting people telecommute from much more affordable communities located across the country - huge savings on rented/owned office space, catering, coffee, snacks, salaries. Plus, they'd be able to draw on a much larger (and probably more dedicated) talent pool.

Agree with you 100% One day I'll get to work-from-home every day of the week. A few of my coworkers have reached that level and so has my dad. For now I get to work from home maybe once a week.

CONGRATULATIONS!

This is the one thing I wish people would do more often like I current employer (I am on premise do work remotely as needed). Basecamp makes a good case for this especially (https://signalvnoise.com/posts/3064-stop-whining-and-start-hiring-remote-workers, https://signalvnoise.com/posts/3453-no-more-remote-work-at-yahoo, https://37signals.com/remote)

I implemented a workaround for one of my employer's critical systems, worked on my employer's website, and continued evaluating the mice. Plus, I'm considering getting a GPD ><D (https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_278715.html?wid=21) to get through many games that I missed out on in life.

That GPD as a concept seems pretty interesting :) if you do wind up getting one, I'd certainly enjoy a write up of your experiences
GPD have also brought the UMPC and the NetBook back with the WIN and the Pocket. The only thing concerning me about the GPD ><D is Android 4.4. As long as the emulators I plan to use still support it (no Vulkan), I'm good.

Project GH3TT0BL4ST3R, first mockup:

750mm x 380mm mimicking the legendary Sharp GF-777 boombox:

Homies for size.

The outside speakers are Focal 165VR along with the tweeters, producing mid-range and high-range sound. The inside speakers are Kicker CompRT 6,75" slimline subwoofers. It's about 500 RMS watt worth of noise, roughly 5 times as much as the Sharp GF-777 which was already one of the top boomboxes. When I have more, I'll put up a build log, going to have some serious challenges in this project.
