Tulips are well up in central Indiana. Unfortunately, we haven't put fresh bulbs in for some years now, so the bed is more leaves than actual flowers... Pink proto-blossoms on the crabapple in the back yard.

Updated the code in my tiny software renderer browser demo, new model and effect.

Replaced the demo model with a Roman bust that I downloaded from BlendSwap. I cleaned up in Blender and exported as a .OBJ with about 30K polys. I'd like to know what CPU and what framerates you're getting with the demo!

It works very well so far. Render times are 160 ms to 230 ms with SSAO off and 637 ms to 673 ms with SSAO on, on an i5-620M (a mobile i3 really).

Ah, not bad. I'm coding on my MacBook which has a slow-ish processor myself. Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz that gives me between 340ms and 450 ms with SSAO off, about 2000ms with it on. Looking forward to see how it runs on my home system with a i3 4130T.

It's currently limited to running on a single thread. I'd really like to apply web workers to make pixel rendering run in parallel. Its bottleneck is usually the fill rate.

Hovering around 250ms with SSAO on and around 58ms with SSAO off, using an i5 6600k @4,5gHz and because I'm lazy I'm watching a source quality twitch stream at the same time (1280x720@30p, 1660 Kbps)

Playing around with overclocks the past few hours. Can't seem to get my 6800K and NH-C14s under 46 degrees, so I'm still stuck at 3875Mhz @ 1.18125 which floats around 48 degrees at idle and 75 to 86 on full synthetic loads (currently only dealing with cinebench and small prime95 tests, not sure what others to try, and when should I pop the Aida64 trial)

And for laughs, I set it to run at 1500Mhz on 1 volt (with RAM still on 3000Mhz 1.3v. couldn't get cpu to run at 1200 because strap at 120). Took 30 seconds to boot, but kinda internet usable after getting into windows (cinebench clocked 486 on multicore, just under 491 on my old i7-870 setup, LOL. Didn't go above 50c though). I made this reply on chrome too (with my entire browsing session brought over)

Applied to a couple job ads and considering a couple more, worked on an art piece, looked for a new keyboard, looked for a new yo-yo, and watched this:
