I thought I was going to ship everything USPS, but UPS is actually much more affordable (even internationally). This pretty much made my day because I have little confidence in USPS. All orders have been entered and just need to be printed.

If your shipment is under 2-4 lbs, or can fit inside a regional box, USPS is cheaper. If not, then UPS or FedEx are better choices.

Yeah, that's what I've learned now. Especially with the C7 brackets. Only problem is that USPS does not offer good tracking (if at all to some destinations).

Yeah. That because they turn over tracking to local postal services. Some countries don't jive with it. Priority mail international is handled by FedEx actually, so it works well there.

Man you are lucky. For me the cheapest UPS options for a 10 lbs package is around 300 USD.
I am charging a flat rate now of $67US for international shipping. If you were quoted $300US before, please let me know when. Shipping is such a disaster and I don't have the volume to get the good discounts. I will say that my current solution is much better than my options in the past - including working with UPS/FedEx directly.

@riba2233 If you wanted an S402 but the shipping price was that high, please contact me. I'd like to verify that there is no configuration problem on my website where the quote is wrong for whatever reason.

Edit: I see now that you mean as a vendor shipping costs were that expensive. I would recommend looking into a shipping specialist like stamps.com, shipstation, etc. They often get the volume discounts individuals like you and I can't.

Yeah, problem is that I'm in Croatia and al couriers are in that price range and I'm not sure if those services you mentioned are available here. But thank you a lot for the effort!

I discovered late last night that due to adjustments I made to the PCIe standoffs, a 1" tall 3.5" HDD will not fit underneath a GPU. I am going to include this in my next pre-order update e-mail tonight.

Good news though, the mainboard rear IO is not a problem and fits perfectly - even with the Intel Asus ITX board that has the built-in rear IO cover.

I have to cut, splice, solder, and heat shrink all the pre-order short front panel buttons tonight and pack up the accessory boxes. Then I can start packing each order for shipping tomorrow probably.

I stayed up until 2AM last night getting the pre-order chassis installed with all the included accessories. I'm very tired today but will push on to get these ready to ship ASAP.
I just want to say: soldering those buttons is a pain. On my S401 rebuild, I snapped off at least two of those wires... stubborn little things to solder...

Exciting to see this all coming together!

Update: I just reached out to my UPS rep to have him investigate why all the pre-order tracking numbers have not been updated. I will update here when I receive any updates.

Also, I had an unexpected death in the family this past weekend so I'm a few days behind getting the following items completed:
1. Update the quick install guide because some of the screws references are wrong.
2. Inventory and inspect all parts received from fabricator so I can have them resolve quality issues.
3. Prepare pre-packaging of the remaining cases so I can have them ready to ship off the shelf.
4. Get a video posted on the SSD/HDD mounting adapter.

I'd like to get another newsletter out with an estimate on when the S402 will be available for sale but because of all that's going on right now I need to take my time and get some rest. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, I should be able to reply to e-mails.

No need for tracking here, it was already on my door step. Nice packaging, I normally try to stop myself from hoarding boxes, but I definitely need to keep this one.

Sorry for putting the shipping label right over the logo. I need to plan the image a little better next time. Or try to stick the label in a different place.

Oh boy, the build posts are about to start arriving, aren't they? FOMO is about to kick in to overdrive.

I have donated a lot of parts meant for this build to my brother to keep his PC going (Covid PC supplies syndrome means a lot of parts are really expensive at the moment) so my personal build won't be done anytime soon. Am looking forward to see build logs for the first wave of orders though.

Sadly, I'm also in the club of just sitting on the case for a bit. Not only are the prices of hardware a bit outrageous right now as you had already mentioned, but there will be new CPUs/GPUs coming out so soon that it would be silly to complete another build using the same hardware already in my current builds.

Excited to have this case take the role as my TV gaming rig / PLEX server eventually though! Will be interesting to mount a 10TB+ 3.5" drive in there.

Same boat, plus I'm still trying to find ways to justify building a 2nd PC when mine suits my needs perfectly.

I'm considering an attempt at making an overclocking rig in the S402 and seeing if I can try my hand at a custom water cooled loop in it too. I'm imagining I'd be able to install some sort of open case loop so it won't be too complicated for my first custom loop.

Oh boy. Do I get to be the first? Good stuff. Just got mine in today and couldn't wait to get all my things swapped over. It's a great little case. The only issues I had was with the location of the power plug on my PSU squeezing against the front USB ports and not really knowing which plugs on the power button went to the switch header and which to the LED. However, I got it right first try.

Great job man. It's like 98% what I wanted in a case but, I can be pretty picky. Home run my dude.

Always gotta test that it all works before closing it up.

Taming those wires.

All put in place. The mat is a nice touch.

Gamer mode activated.

Closeup.

I'd be interested in any feedback you have. Always good to shoot for 100%. The build looks great - you managed to set that up in record time.

On a different note, if I didn't have to be called into work today I was going to try finish the prep work with my inventory to be ready to take orders on my site. I'm now going to try and make that happen by Monday. I've managed to box all the accessories for each unit, so now I have to get some time to inventory the actual chassis (and run a quick QA on them), then pre-install all the components that belong inside each chassis, and finally throw each one in their shipping box. This way I can pull a stock unit from the shelf and pack it up using as little of my time as possible between order and shipment.

I'm thinking I might try to drop off the shipments once or twice a week to allow myself a night or two away from packing and shipping, but when I make that decision I'll be sure to update the website product page to be as clear as I can on the shipping expectations.

The only feedback that I could even think to give if I had to is maybe to add a cable tie down thing at the bottom-front for the fan cable. As for the other 2% its just personal preference. I would have like the USB at the bottom and the color to not be black but, I understand why you chose both of those things during your process. As for record time, I got home from work and transferred my existing stuff.
