Otherwise, the sheet-metal prototype is becoming a reality !!
This is the raw case without back and IO panels assembled.
Awesome!
It looks so neat I wouldn't call this a prototype!

Is it a pic from a China factory? (because of the chopsitcks on top ; )
Did you made all the design by yourself or did the manufacturer help you respecting the norms, tools limit, etc.?
Do you dare telling us the price range btw?

Ahah this is indeed from a Chinese workshop, which is 5X time cheaper than Protocase (I kid you not).

No more threaded cubes and raw laser-cut panels :)
I've drawned the case in Rhino, with only two rules in mind (minimum bending radius and minimum holes distance from the edges).

I then sent the 3D file directly to their engineer.
They check the validity of your design then make the 2D drawings from your 3D file.

You don't pay for that service, which is great.

Ahah it might be a fun venture to sell a few units bundled with a riser if there is enough demand.
But clearly I haven't worked on the visibility of this product at all.

Would be great to have someone from the staff writing a piece presenting all the custom cases designed by the forum members.
@PlayfulPhoenix

BTW, I just changed the name of the project, as Adibou was a commercial name from the 90s.

I like the new name haha :D How much did the prototype cost from china?

Taking my sweet time to finish this build.

First thing first : I forgot in my 3D file to countersunk two holes, preventing the front panel to properly close.

Problem fixed :)

Ahahah you'll get your proof soon enough !

I also take my time because it seems that my screws are always few mm too long to fit...

For instance, the radiator screws and the EK anti-vibration kit, which are 2 mm longer than expected.
I had to order M4 spacers to make them work with my Bitspower DDC Mini Tank.

Tight fit due to the extra spacer height.

But it starts to look pretty neat !
Both the pump and USB 2 PCB will be wired directly to the PSU. And sleeved. Something I've never done yet.

Progress is very slow as I cannot take apart my main machine yet... Some freelancing to finish before the summer holidays.

Anyway, both the pump and USB PCB have been sleeved and are directly wired to the PSU. Much much cleaner.
My first sleeving job ever went pretty well IMHO :)

That's for the good news.

For the bad news, well, the Bykski waterblocks do not fit my Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Mini...

I have since discovered that Zotac has issued no less than 4 different versions of the PCB...
I ordered the WBs directly from Bykski commercial team, which did not bother asking which version I needed...

Only answer I got so far from Bykski : "I think you need to buy again".
Well well well...

That is really a shame about the GPU block, weird that Zotac had 4 different PCB designs. I have an Inno3d RTX 2070 and the only GPU block I could find is from Barrow that I had to buy through AliExpress. I was really worried about all kinds of potential problems but other than incredibly long shipping time it works great.

Bykski commercial team has always been pretty nice and responsive.

Let's hope we'll find a quick solution.

Otherwise, I might just sell back the two 1080 Ti and find something else.

Ok, so bad news : Bykski won't replace the waterblocks and I cannot even directly order from them as I used to.

Since I won't spend anymore on this build, I am going to keep my two 1070 for now and sell back those GTX 1080 Ti Mini :(

Wow, I may be interested in this as an alternative to the Sliger SM580. Any thermal tests for the most recent revision?

System transfer finally completed ! With my good old 1070s for now.

Pretty happy about my first sheet metal case !

About the cable management too. No fan wires visible, 24-Pin not too bulky.
I need to make some custom PCIe cables though.

@Thehack : I wouldn't mind one of your 2427 PCB too !

@FAQBytes

Load temps with both OCCT Linpack and Octane Bench (ambiant temp : 22°C) :

- i7 7700 : 64°C max
- Both 1070s : around 45°C

- i7 7700 alone : 55°C

Oh boy, you've really made my next case decision a difficult one.

What's that build volume? Looks roughly 13 liters?

Thanks ! This is just a more refined prototype for now !

Total dimensions are h.355 x l. 260 x p. 146 mm
Volume : 13,48 L.

GPU max length : 280 mm.

The prototype cost including the custom riser is around 450 €.
