Completed MJOLNIR: The minimalistic – but not boring – 9.7L Case

Based on those pictures the “silver” now looks almost white.

Do you have a set of RAL colour cards you could put next to them an find a closest match? Like others if the silver turns out to be “whiter” I might be interested in swapping colour choice (assuming that’s possible).

Maybe a suggestion since a few people have commented on the shade of the new finishes. Have you considered taking a photo of all the shades with the associated Apple products? I suggest Apple since they're very common (so easy to cross reference in person) and 2 of the color choices should be close to existing Apple finishes (namely Dark/Space Grey and Steel/Silver). It would probably give people a better idea on how bright/dark each shade is relative to the corresponding Apple color palette.

Super happy to hear that you like the finishes guys!! ? We're all PC guys/gals here, but dang it I'll go out and find a silver MacBook and then take some pics to compare. MJOLNIR in Steel finish is very similar to a silver MBP; however, MJOLNIR is slightly more specular, hence why it looks "white" from some angles. Perhaps it's best to film both next to each other and then rotate them around to show you what I mean.

It might be useful for some to know what camera and settings you used as well; focus, exposure, light levels can all have a pretty distinct impact on the way metallics look in photos.

Sneak into an Apple store and take photos with the staff's consent (that way you can control lighting if you're not next to the window since most Apple stores use the same lights LOL).

Alex, I was wondering if you had a PDF or some document other than the website with the exact measures/clearances for Thorzone? I wanted to reach out to PSlate customs to have him look over and see if custom cabling is an option for us future Mjolnir owners.

Please get a RAL or Pantone colour book and find closest match. Filming sounds good too but if you can give an approximate RAL colour that would be awesome.

We don't have such a PDF atm. Once the cases are shipped we'll make sure to send him (or somebody similar) a case so that they can develop correct cables

Unfortunately you just missed the pre-orders :/ Next time launch will be some time after shipping out all Kickstarter cases + pre-orders from June

Looks more about what I expected for the silver. The pictures on the kickstarter looked a lot more white for some reason, maybe due to the contrasting darker panels next to the silver. Still looks great though, especially against the older panels.

I'll make sure to snap a couple of comparisons between Dark and Space Grey when I run into someone that has one, since nobody on the team has MACs lol ? This will have to wait until after we've launched production.
