Dan A4-H2O would be better suited to travel. 1/3 smaller and likely significantly lighter too.

If you're going to travel with it a lot plan your build around water cooling - way more contact points keeping the radiator in place (6+) than a heatsink (2) and much less weight related stress on the mobo during transit. Maybe C4-SFX would be worth the extra volume if you have a $$$$ GPU and can take advantage of the dual radiator support to watercool it, making the GPU less prone to damage during transit too?
I have a Gigabyte RX 6800 XT, it's quite big, and a Ryzen 5900X with AIO 240mm watercooling. I will look into the H2O, but I don't plan to travel very often, 2-3x a year.

Edit: I looked the gpu restrictions up, the card is 3mm higher (58mm) than the spec sheet of A4-H2O supports (55mm)

To be clear you could reduce risk of transit damage just by choosing a smaller / lighter CPU aircooler too, although you'd still be capped at 2x contact points securing it. A good air cooling combo for portability would be a 65W 7700 CPU combined with an ID cooling IS-47-XT or IS-55 for example (355g / 450g respectively).

Motherboard = Gigabyte X570 ITX only
GPUs = NVIDIA RTX 3080 FE, NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE, NVIDIA RTX 4090 FE, KFA2 RTX 3080
Is there any chance you could physically check the fit of a few more 4090 cards?

The medium sized 4090s that are right on the edge of being too large and could really benefit from a proper fit check are:

337 x 77 x 140 - MSI Gaming Trio
336 x 78 x 142 - MSI Suprim
331 x 70 x 150 - Gigabyte Windforce
340 x 75 x 150 - Gigabyte Gaming OC

The similarly named 4080 / 4090 variants from each AIB have the exact same dimensions so if you are able to fit a 4080 MSI Gaming Trio then you could be sure a 4090 MSI Gaming Trio would fit, if you are able to fit a 4080 Gigabyte Gaming OC to fit a 4090 Gigabyte Gaming OC would fit too etc..

The Silverstone 850R Extreme SFX is significantly quieter than the CM SFX units.
You can find detailed noise charts (and way more) on Cybenetics' site: https://www.cybenetics.com/index.php?option=power-supplies.
Don't know if this was mentioned yet: L91 did a review on this PSU on his YT channel, which also compares it with the SF750, and shows that the 850R is much quieter even under higher load: ‎Corsair SF750 Dethroned? SilverStone Extreme 850R SFX Review

If you have a Trio you can send it to me and I will try it :)

The Gigabyte will not fit - You cant close the sidepanel. I think the Suprim will collide with the PW Switch PCB. If you remove it the card will fit.
If I buy a Trio I will send it your way ;)

The Gaming Trio & Suprim share almost identical PCBs - same length, same design & layout, Suprim just has more VRMs / Trio has a few spots for VRMs that aren't filled. The shrouds are different though - Trio is Plastic & Suprim is metal, but both roughly the same shape. Is the PW Switch PCB a different thing from the main PCB?

In pic Trio PCB is on the left - note fewer VRMs - and Suprim PCB is on the right.

@dondan for detailed planning of my build i'd need two measurements:
mainboard-top (top of pcb) to side-panel (so i can calc aio-block+fans+rad on the side)
mid of pcie-slot to top (so i can calc top rad+fans) - cause i've looked but couldn't find the info from which point the 79mm for the GPU height are measured.
thanks!

Introduction

After a long time of silence I like to introduce the redesigned C4-SFX. The name comes from the German envelope norm for A4 papers so it is the big brother of the A4-SFX.

This case uses a heavly optimized classic hardware layout. The list of features is long – 280mm radiator support, big air cooler up to 145mm in height, indirect GPU cooling, ITX, deep ITX, DTX, 3.9 slot full length GPU, SFX & SFX-L Power Supply support, s.o. All this is packed in an elegant enclosure with 14L made by Lian Li. In terms of hardware support there are nearly no limits.

Possibilities

In this chapter I like to present the main hardware/cooling configurations.

The traditional hardware layouts allows for tower heatsinks with 120mm fan up to an height of 145mm like the Noctua D12L or very big top blow heatsinks like the Noctua C14S. For these configurations it is possible to mount the power supply 90° rotated. With the radiator bracket it is possible to install 120, 140, 240 or 280mm radiators with 25mm thick fans for the best cooling results. For the traditional layout you can install 3.9 slot GPUs with a length up to 336mm. Two 120 or 140mm fan mount points at the top of the case allows for indirect GPU cooling if you remove the preinstalled GPU fans.

The case does come with special air flow brackets and an RTX 40x0 Founders Edition air tunnel to force hot GPU air out of the case. This will result in much better CPU temps.

Special Thanks

This case has a feature (aio bracket) first used and invented by Necere in the Ncase M1. I like to honor him for this idea and like for the A4-SFX he will be also named in the special thanks section in the manual.

Thank you for reading and your support. Please let me know what you think!
So excited!

Hey @dondan any insight into when we can preorder this awesome case?

Also is pccasegear.com still the supplier for Australia?

Thanks again and well done on the case - it will be my first foray into SFF and looking forward to downsizing.

I found another shop that does ship to US. This shop is partnered with OverclockersUK and does ship to every country in the world. But shipping could get high for some countries:

Been following this thread with interest as I'm looking at an alternative to my NR200. Any idea when review samples will be sent out?
