Hello according to https://w360mod.com/products/dan_a4-sfx

the case will be shipped in the next days if you buy it before 09.08. The day before yesterday a lightning bolt partially grilled my notebook. Somehow I call the divine fate that the one up there wants to tell me " hey Bullz buy there again nen Dan I help there with the decision " *zischhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*

Is the case now well available or could it be that I have to wait for months again if I don't strike now ? I wanted to wait for the 3070 but a transition graphics card up to the 3070 with a 3700X just smiled at me.

Hello would like to put together a Dan for me.

Graphics card a cheap bridging graphics card until the 3070* comes.

1 Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB, M.2 (MZ-V7S1T0BW)

1 AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 8C/16T, 3.60-4.40GHz, boxed (100-100000071BOX)

1 Crucial Ballistix Sport LT grey DIMM Kit 32GB, DDR4-3000, CL15-16-16 (BLS2K16G4D30AESB/BLS2C16G4D30AESB)

1 Noctua NH-L9a-AM4

1 DAN Cases A4-SFX V4 black, Mini-ITX (A4SFXV4-B)

1 Corsair SF Series SF450 80 PLUS Platinum 450W SFX12V (CP-9020181-EU)

CPU, cases are fixed.
At the cooler, power supply can be discussed
The rest is open for anything.

Whatever's missing:

Mainboard with B550
Graphics card 3070 derivative

What I am looking for are the price performance breakers because money is actually much too tight at the moment. But my notebook had a lightning damage and the insurance company pays me an unknown part.

Looks good. Here some help on the motherboard decision:

Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro WIFI ~ 115€ (more than enough)
ASRock B550M-ITX/ac ~ 130€ (cheap way into B550)
MSI MPG B550I Gaming Edge WIFI ~ 190€ (B550 with internal USB-C aka Key-A header)

How much Amper make sense for a 3700x @ stock without lowering the power target ? The 4 Phases of the gigaybyte seems a little bit low with 4x50A ... the 6x50 give me much more confidence for a stable machine ?

PSU with 450 Watt is enough for my case ? I dont think that the 3070* will need more than 220 W @ stock for this answer

@Hellow

horizon zero dawn needs 25 GB Ram and i like open world games.

Someone write that the Ram obove can handle 3600 CL16. That would be also the sweet spot.

my 2nd compilation after evaluation from the net.

1 Silicone Power P34A80 1TB, M.2 (SP001TBP34A80M28)

1 AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 8C/16T, 3.60-4.40GHz, boxed (100-100000071BOX)

1 Crucial Ballistix black DIMM Kit 32GB, DDR4-3200, CL16-18-18-36 (BL2K16G32C16U4B)

2 MSI MPG B550I Gaming Edge WIFI (7C92-002R)

1 Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM, 92mm

1 Noctua NF-A9 PWM, 92mm

1 Noctua NH-L9a-AM4

1 DAN Cases A4-SFX V4 black, Mini-ITX (A4SFXV4-B)

1 Corsair SF Series SF450 80 PLUS Platinum 450W SFX12V (CP-9020181-EU)

Mainboard would be recommended by Dan I think he means that USB 3.1 Gen 2 works on the frontusb ? Find the price salted anyway.

ASRock B550M-ITX/ac also supplies 300 A at CPU Mosfets and has current chipset for 130 Euro. :( Undecided.

SSD I have chosen a cheaper one.

Ram stay fix the 32 gb. horizon zero dawn needs 25 gb Ram and that will not get less.

2 case fans for better temps in the case

Power supply should be able to handle it.

Would you change anything? I notice when the graphics card is on it, I am going to blow my budget by far :/

I've read several times that apparently the cooling has become a problem since the AMD 3700x. My experience values still come from a 6700 beheaded with liquid metal. Is it really so bad from the volume. In idle I like to have it rather quieter. During gambling it should not be more than 2200 RPM ... I'm a bit insecure now.

It doesn't matter. This is a 65W (up to ~90W real load) CPU so all of these boards will be bored by this one.
If the 3070 will pull 250W, add 90W for the CPU and 40W for (M.2, Motherboard, RAM and Fans). This results in 380W. So 450W is fine.

nice, the A4 is an awesome case! can share the build you have in mind?
This is going to be my first PC build, so I've been reading up on here and elsewhere for information gathering!
I will be gradually gathering components from here on in.

The possible build may include:
  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • Alpenfohn Black Ridge
  • ASUS ROG Strix B550-I Gaming
  • Corsair SF Series SF600 80 PLUS Platinum
I'm unsure as to which GPU and RAM to get at this stage.

[edit] - Is Alpenfohn Black Ridge even compatible w. ASUS ROG Strix B550-I Gaming???

gang, what's the game plan for these upcoming beast gpu's:
Not being able to afford them, for starters and then start finding a replace for our current cases, basically ? Let's hope that humongous sample only affects the flagship 3080(90?) and then there will be more size-friendly custom models from other brands

I have just got a Dan A4 V4.1! Have been researching on minimizing my build and chose to try the Dan case.

Have transferred most of my parts from my old RVZ01 build & added some components to be compatible with the Dan case:

  • Gigabyte B450i Aorus pro wifi
  • Ryzen 5 3600
  • Corsair SF600 Gold
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 (2 x 8GB)
  • ADATA NVMe SX8200P 512GB SSD
  • Crucial MX500 1TB
  • MSI GTX 980ti (plan to upgrade to RTX in the future)
  • Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM Chromax
  • Noctua NF-A9 PWM Chromax
  • Cryorig C7 (Waiting for 1 more Noctua NF-A9x14, so i can switch the fan)

I tried my best with the cable management, but i still can't hide the Key A adapter. Was missing some screws for my fan grill, temporary used some cable ties. Any suggestions on better cable management? And what temperatures are considered acceptable or safe for the Dan case?

Thanks!
