Hi all,

Can someone explain to me what is going on with the riser cable please, DAN cases on their website list the cable as such:

3M 8KC3-0726-0300 PCIe x16 Gen4 riser

https://www.dan-cases.com/dana4.php

however, if you search this line and follow the 3M result, 3M lists it as follows:

3M Twin Axial PCI Express X16 Extender Assemblies Gen 3.0

Part Number: 8KC3-0726-0XXX

https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b5005334030/

The part numbers match each other and 3M does also have a riser cable that is explicitly listed as gen 4.0 as shown here:

Part Number: 8KCE-0953-XXXX

https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b00035486/

What I would like to know is why is there a discrepancy between DAN Cases and 3M. And if the cable included with the A4 can sustain 4.0 speeds why does 3M list it as 3.0?

MOD BREAK: Merging posts

DAN cases replied to my email I sent them with the following statement:

Outdated 3M Website. This riser can handle gen4 thousands of A4 user used it daily in gen4 mode. :)
