Yeah, that's my guess too, but just wanted to make sure as mine will be one of the two new extended ones (10mm rather than 40mm pictured) with the same cutout selection. But you're probably right, just a coincidence that it has the same cutouts I chose

Building MINI itx 4.15L. Now it can be installed Zotac GTX1080 and SSD 2.5 "7mm in front. Size 105x180x220mm

odd question but how hard or would parts of the frame be exposed if we shaved down the front panel to be flush with the top panel sides?

@sergiiua Question - why did you increase the width to 105mm? At 100, it keeps the case at a nice 3.96L (or roughly 4L).

I'm afraid that video cards do not fit in the thickness. If you do 100mm then for a video card only 38mm.

Blanks for MINI itx 3.42L (100x180x190) factory only does.

By the way, I think Gigabyte is working on a 1080 Mini that's the same size as their 1070, to put in their eGPU. So that will fit in the 3.24L case. For a 1080 Ti though, you'll need a 4.15L case at least it seems

Well... It's not much, but at Computex they said they were working on 1080 card to fit in their eGPU, which is designed to just barely fit their 1070 Mini.

From a PC Gamer article:

"Gigabyte's mini-ITX GTX 1070 normally sells for about $380 / £350, so the dock adds about $200 to the total price. And Gigabyte told me that a mini-ITX GTX 1080 card is in the works for the future, if a 1070 just isn't enough. Gigabyte says the Gaming Box should be available starting in July."

And from our own James Schell's article on it:

"When asked if the GTX 1080 would fit, we were told something to the effect that it will soon and that they’re working on it. Make of that what you will."

So... it's definitely in the rumor category, but I bet they do it. The 1080 only consumes 30W more and the 1070 Mini cooler is already very good and quiet, so it wouldn't be difficult.
