the space was enough solely for the motherboard, though the height was excessive. Are you making it taller now? where is the extra 0.3 liters from? edit: I see it's the height.

A small increase will allow you to set a noctua L9i. I'll also add a mount for ssd 2.5" (thin 5mm)
okay, i've come in terms a little bit now with the fact the noctua won't work.

Usually if the Heatsink and Fan is right next to the case wall you're going to get crazy fan noise
From top of the CPU IHS to the top of the motherboard should be ~8mm for Intel.
