That setup is definitely kickass. The X370 boards will do a better job though.

http://www.techspot.com/article/1374-amd-ryzen-with-amd-gpu/
Techspot.com (hardware unboxed on Youtube) has released an interesting article about Ryzen performance on AMD and Nvidia gpu (after controversy on Rise of the tomb raider, crippled in DX12 Ryzen+Nvidia combo)

Well, conclusion is a bit difficult as they found both case where AMD is far ahead :

where nvidia is far ahead :

But I liked THIS slide , where Ryzen is above core i7 7700K @ 4ghz...:)

Yep, it can basically swing both ways with games that haven't been properly optimized.

That's interesting. Not surprised the quality of the hardware-assisted encoding is worse, there seems to be a lot of "optimization" going on.

By the way, new Community Update (#3): https://community.amd.com/community/gaming/blog/2017/04/06/amd-ryzen-community-update-3

  1. Balanced power plan optimized for AMD Ryzen™ processors
  2. Even more 1080p game performance updates
  3. An important update for AMD Ryzen Master

I did install the Ryzen optimized power plan last night. It's nice to see the improvements rolling in. @Phuncz, Have you added it to your Ryzen system?

Yep, although I'm not that concerned about power consumption with two fire-breathing Radeon R9 290X cards in the system. Luckily it's the 21st century and one of them just stays off completely while not in use.

Definitely AMD Ryzen is disrupting CPU market...last news : Intel is advancing X299 platform (Kabylake-X and Skylake-x) release by 2 months!!
http://www.tomshardware.fr/articles/intel-x299-lancement-kabylake-x-skylake-x,1-63554.html

That news is just making me completely confused on my cerberus-x setup as X299 has always been one of my target but its original release date of August 2017 was too far...
Now a end of June release is perfect for me as it will match customed Vega release also...:D
I must admit that CPU market is DAMN interesting this year!
