lack of space or the closer a fan is to case sides increases noise turbulence and makes it more difficult for the fan to pull air in.
Oh okay. It's back together with the Noctua NH-L9x65. The metal cooling fins of the Noctua NH-L9x65 are much bigger than the ThermalRight AXP90-X53 Full Copper. I just like the Noctua NH-L9x65 much better. My Temps seem to stay in the low 50's (see below). Every few hours the power supply fan does a ten-second fast speed cycle, even though the computer is sitting idle. I'm not sure what that is about? Though, it's only a minor annoyance. I did a better job of cable management allowing me to put that front I/O piece back in and zip-tie the cables to that.

Now waiting a couple/few weeks for the slightly bigger (TAMOSH A09P Black Itx Case).

It does this more often (every 15 or 20 minutes) when running as HTPC/watching movies. That's not acceptable!

Are there any good (AND Quiet) modular Flex power supplies? I was reading reviews for some Flex PSUs that said they are noisy. I don't want that.

Very strange. Are you monitoring power draw with hwinfo64? I wonder if it’s bursting high enough draw to kick the fan on. (180w or so is where I remember it started spinning in tests)

Regarding quiet flex PSUs, I haven’t found any of the ones I’ve tried to be noisy (besides this delta if loaded and sustained to where the fan starts) but I haven’t had any modular ones either. Most expensive one I’ve had is the Silverstone’s FX600 which is based off of Enhance 600w. I’ve also used the Seasonic 300w gold and the FSP500-30AS modded. I suspect the FSP modular ones would be similar quietness. They have it in 300w and 500w on Amazon.

@Overtek carries a modular 450w from the Enhance line on his site. That might fit your criteria too. He even offers alternate fans.

Thanks for that! I never paid much attention to power supply requirements because I only build APU computers (no Graphics card). Nothing appears to be over consuming power today;
  • CPU Package Power 6 W
  • CPU EDC 58 A
  • GPU ASIC Power 8 W
But the PSU fan is not turning on high today (even with extra HTTP duty/playing movie) in the background??
I will continue to monitor this. Thanks again for your help.
