good info! I may try to put in order in tomorrow. I was looking at pictures and it looks like you may have to assemble it.

You will have to assemble it, but that'll make it that much easier if you want to paint it. I chose red, so I might paint it if it ends up looking bad.

Hi guys and gals,

I lived in China for 3 years so of course I love Taobao, one of the few things I miss about China after the people and the food. I have friends who live there who might be able to post for a fee. If you guys think I should start a thread and contact my friends there let me know what you think.

Where did you live? I'm in Chengdu.

If it results in getting the case sooner/cheaper, I'm in.

Project Manager at a video game company. Chengdu has invested heavily in the software industry in the last 10 years. I heard Hefei is a really nice city and developing rapidly as well, though many people here still speak poorly about Anhui. Never been there to see first hand though, or even been outside of Sichuan :(

I agree with what he says, but.... internet is a shady place, filled with lots of shady people (not saying your shady). But if someone is really willing to help out the community awesome!

I know we just had an update last month, but I've found enough cases to warrant sharing ( I think...)

Here's August 2017 finds

Starting things off is the Abee RS04. It's a slim ITX case made from aluminum alloy. Abee seems to be a Japanese company that hasn't broken out of Japan yet. I really like the out design of this case, but's it's internal layout makes me wish it were a bit more accomdating for larger GPUs. Also, it's really expensive

This one I'm not sure the name of, but it's very similar to the "king Kong" case i found earlier. This seems to be a smaller version of the Gorilla case. I wish there were more shots of the internal layout...

Next up is the Segotep Temple (TG) I pulled that name from the Segotep site since taobao didn't really have a good name. It's a pretty interesting looking case that supports M-ATX and M-ITX. It makes me think this is what would happen if you condensed a Deepcool Tristellar into a Corsair 380T. I may eventually get one of these.

My last two move from interesting to bizarre. First is another Sefotep case, EDI (pronounced Eddy according to the Segotep site)
...

It's a freaking sci-fi shuttle!

Lian-Li would be proud...

The last one doesn't have a name, but it's an A4 clone that I'm calling...

(insert Schwarzenegger impersonation)

GET TO DE CHOMPA!!

I couldn't help myself

Make no qualms, I'm definitely buying this. For the LOLZ

Hmm I can't believe I didn't post those Segotep cases yet. They also have one called the BayMax which is a giant smiley face/android robot sphere thing.

There's these colored screw heads that I see from time to time being used by various vendors on TaoBao, noticeable in red on the "SeaDamaged" case posted a while back. Does anyone know what they might be called and where I might find some of these screws for my own mods?

think its a tapered aluminum washer/standoff with a regular tapered head screw fitting into them seen them a few time in the rc world but they are generally I think a bit to small for pc case duty

I think anodized and alumin(i)un or alloy are the keywords for colored bolts and washers. More specifically you can search for fender washers or bottle cage bolts for M5. I'd be a bit wary of M4 and smaller bolts, since they are alumininum it's very easy to strip the threads, especially when screwing into case frame or other shallow threads.

"Anodised countersunk cap washer" (or "anodised cap washer" in general for more styles) should turn up plenty of results.

Sorry for the double post..

I've seen that in person. It's mostly plastic and supposed to be Baymax from Disney's Big Hero 6. Bless Segotep and their lack of regard for copyrights...

Jonsbo makes a set, something called Lord of the rings MOD (oh these names!) It's anodized counter sunk washers and thumbscrews. There are other screws in the set, but I think they're just regular black http://www.jonsbo.com/en/products_3_6.html

I think what maped and Edz said would also make good starting points for searching.

Thanks guys! I've found a few sets searching for the washers and I'm excited to pick some up.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into M5 screws. I've been working around M3 screws for this one part which just holds in a single plate, but I think I have enough space for M5's.
