Anyone else putting some time into the Battlefield 6 Open Beta?

So far I'm sucking at it, but hopefully I'll improve over the weekend. The plan is to grind out some of the achievements if I have enough time.

So far I'm quite impressed with my newly installed Radeon RX 9070 XT. Very smooth on Ultra at 3840x1600. I'll post some fps stats once I've played more of the maps.

Just tried it for a couple (5) of hours last night.

Liking it so far, but unsure whether I want to buy the full game though.

FPS wise, for my 7800x3d + 4090, it's ranges from 150 to 190, from my memory at 3440x1440 Ultra. GPU pulls about 350W to 375W, while the CPU is at 60W.

I put around 16 hours into Battlefield 6 over the weekend and mostly enjoyed it.

I do feel they need to crack down on the cheating more, despite reading somewhere that they already stopped more than 300K cheating attempts during the open beta, which is insane! I spawned on a teammate on Sunday and ended up under some concrete stairs (clipped), where he was just shooting people from below. I had wondered why I was getting killed on occasion with no indication of where the enemy was.

My Ryzen 5800X3D and Radeon RX 9070 XT Reaper (-75mV undervolt) ran it very well. 80-100 fps depending on the map and conditions at 3840x1600 (38-inch ultrawide) on Ultra settings. Enabling FSR Quality (3.1 afaik) took the framerate up to 120-140 fps and that's probably how I'd choose to play if I decide to buy it.

Still undecided on a purchase with Borderlands 4 coming out soon too, as I'm a big fan of the Borderlands games (but not the terrible movie).

It's a game that requires Windows 11 and due to kernel-based anti-cheat will not work on Linux, so even though I've spent so many hours in BF3 and BF4, BF6 is going to go past me. I'd rather also have community servers so that you know many people you play with and can easily kick the real cheaters.

But triple-A multiplayer FPS game publishers have just accepted that the meta is a cesspit of cheaters and premium cosmetics, so I'll play my +20 Age card and just GTFO multiplayer FPS games. So I bought Dyson Sphere Program yesterday.

Despite having enjoyed BF6, I spend most of my time playing more chilled titles.

I've put this on my wishlist as it looks like it may be a bit like Satisfactory, which I enjoy.

If you like relaxing building games, and don't mind no combat whatsoever, you should have a look at Tiny Glade too.

For my sanity I even go further, no more multiplayer games.
Now I prefer to platinum some solo games if I can...:) Last achievement is Stellar Blade (really, really enjoyable game). I just finished my 3rd run, just started my 4rd run to capture excellent moments!

I'll take a look later ! I do play my automation games on peaceful mode most of the time. One of my most anticipated games is this one:

It seems to have it all: automation, base building, discovery, tower defense, moderate climate change, etc etc.
