Sadly, the XB gamepad seams like the only solution now. Most if not all games are thought around it. Just encountered a game taday, Enter the Gungeon, where some actions can't be remapped and ask to press the 2 analog thumbstick at once .... I can't even go past the tutorial since I have no thumbatick and I can't remap this action !

The Logitech F310 gamepad is compatible with both DirectInput and XInput via a switch. It was quite a bit cheaper than the XB360 controller, but I think it may be discontinued and hard to get now. The sticks tended to drift after a bit of use, so the reviews were never super. I've got 3 and they all went a bit dodgy eventually. It's why I went for the "real deal" wired controllers last summer.

Oddly, the wireless XB360 had issues being recognized in some games (Marvel Ultimate Alliance was one), so I ended up using Xpadder for my wireless XB360 to play that game.

Since I'm flat broke, I'm a on Borderlands 2 kick again. This time I've gotten farther ahead as a Siren vs a Commando, the first class I played with. Still not finished the story but getting close. But I want to get at least level 50 and hopefully have enough DLC to keep that from getting dull.

I bought a Mortal Kombat X key for a friend of mine and bought one key for me too although i've not been inclined to play it. But of course the game does not run at all at my friends pc (3770/7950 recommended hw)......so we had to play it to mine's one. And i have to confess that this is by far the greatest fighting game i've ever played.

I have finished playing the AC Unity. There are some chests to be found and opened, which i will not, and some helix and coop missions which also i am not willing to play them.
I have just installed AC Syndicate and played some missions. Also i've explored London a little bit but i find it lacks depth compared to Unity's Paris. And i do not know how Ubisoft managed to make Syndicate more demanding than Unity, being less complicated (most of London's buildings are empty boxes) than the latter and both having the same quality of graphics.

For research, I have added a poll to this thread. Please participate if applicable. If your game of choice is not on the list, please post below. Note that I am looking for games that can run on a private, dedicated server, much like the SFFn Minecraft world.

Tetris... the only game I know how to play and that doesn't give me a headache within a few minutes of game play.

On one hand, eager to head out into twilight in a MiG-29.

On the other hand, intensely cynical about the release state of console ports.

I'll be ending up with the PS4 version anyway for PSVR, but it would be nice if Bamco could get out a decent PC port. Assault Horizon appears to have been a not-completely-awful port of a completely awful game, and their Dark Souls ports have been getting progressively less bad with each release.

PSVR content is a timed exclusive and the fact it's built on Unreal creates the possibility for unofficial VR support if official content isn't developed.

Assault Horizon took nearly a year to port, my 780 chokes on its anti-aliasing, and it experiences considerable z-fighting when using air-brakes.

PSVR content is a timed exclusive
So far, all language has been AC7 being "VR exclusively on Playstation" (different from the common weasel-y 'console exclusive on Playstation' verbage for games with a PC version) with no mention of timed exclusivity or any hints at VR for PC.
I'd love for the VR version (whether it be the whole campaign or select missions) to be available on PC so I can crank the supersampling and play in a simpit, but all signs point to no so far.

Yes please !

Personally I would like to see a game that allows gameplay non-real-time so it doesn't matter who's online and who isn't. Like Minecraft already does.
