I recently started playing No Man's Sky, because it has had enough patches to be playable and priced accordingly.
Some aspects are still so frustrating after many patches and I can believe why only a handful of people still play it. Randomly generated content is a moot point when everything has the same ambiance and feeling. I will still give it a while but I feel this was the biggest pipe dream in gaming history outside of Star Citizen.

Just bought those games:
  • Darkest dungeon
  • Hyper light drifter
  • Enter the gungeon
  • Transistor
EDIT: Now hoping for Cross Code to have an interesting rebate.
GG on those. I love everything about Transistor (and Bastion). CrossCode only gets 10% - 25% off much of the time.

"Hmm, I think I'll go ahead and download RimWorld Alpha 16 and check out the new features real quick..."

"Huh? I could've sworn I just started this new colony a few minutes ago!"

Humble Store would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas with a 100% FREE copy of GRID (Redeemable Steam key)

Dammit @3lfk1ng I have too little free time as it is! Still working (slowly) through the Homeward Fleet campaign of Infinifactory. It was kinda pricey (and worth it, so far) so I'm determined to finish it before I invest in (m)any more time sucks.

You should totally start playing Factorio. The Cerberus won't make it next year if you do, however.

I don't dare touch Factorio because I have too many projects going as it is. In fact, I just quit buying new games unless it's something particularly special because I still have stuff from a Steam holiday sale from 5 years ago I haven't played yet :p

Invested in a Steam controller as my SNES gamepad aren't suited for modern games (lack of an analog stick).

Gave Transistor a try this morning and I'm pleased to see that it works flawlessly on the Intel HD4600 iGPU.
And CrossCode is now 15% off.

I got "Desperados - Wanted Dead or Alive" for 1.24€ yesterday and finally had a chance to run it just now. It ran like arse in the beginning (because that game is using DirectDraw), but after this amazing guide I managed to get it running very well and it's still a RT Tactics game. I never played further than the first three missions or so, so it seemed like a worthwhile purchase instead of getting Shadow Tactics right now.

Also got Pony Island and man that is a meta-game that fucks with your head. So many great moments, but I won't spoil any of it.

After that, Lethal League, which I haven't tried yet put absolutely adore the concept of, and Broforce, which is one of those games that I'll surely play one day, and both were discounted by 70-75%.

So I got four good games for 10 bucks, which is super neat. And then I also purchased Rainbow Six Siege today, hopefully that wasn't a mistake. It's downloading right now.

Wow, I remember playing the demo for this game years ago and I loved it. I never did buy the full version... until now! Thanks for the heads up.

I've sinked a lot of hours in No Man's Sky, I can't track it (maybe in-game) because I bought it through GoG to get a DRM-free experience.
There's still a lot of work this game needs to be remotely half-way to what was promised and up to a PC gaming standard, but it's still plenty of fun !

Ended up starting a replay FFIX on the new PC/Android port (saves and savestates can be copied between the two). With the exception of the sharpening filter used on the scaled background images, it's a really nice port (especially when compared to the FFVII and FFVIII PC ports).
