If you're running a card or two, I doubt they'd see the difference. As far as the rest of the system, you can get by with a cheap processor and only 4gb of RAM. Mining is a GPU intensive process for sure, but your CPU will hardly notice.

I thought Nice Hash uses CPU and GPU?

It will benchmark everything, but you can select what you want to mine with. In my case, I'm using GPU only. CPU's are horrible at mining. I mean, you might get $0.25 per day if you're lucky. Not worth it in any way.

Yeah, I was mining ZCash with a i3 just for the hell of it and getting about 35 cents in a week if the payout was constant. And considering 1 ZCash is worth around $350 now...

I'm contemplating what to do with my Z97 and Win7 system now that I've got my new laptop and have most of what I need to get up and running for work and home. It has Windows 10 and CPU chipset is two generations ahead of my home system. Might bite the bullet and sell the parts so I can continue with a Thin Mini ITX project. Still keeping the SSD, though.

What CPU do you think I should get? I'm thinking about one of the low ends LGA1151 Xeons?

It's really all a gamble, alhough it's paying off for most at the moment. It's easy to look back at any of these coins and wish I were in it from the beginning... As long as you can pay for your electrical with mining, you'll gain. The amount of hardware you have or have to invest in, only determines how long you might have to wait to realize that gain.

Get whatever you can for a reasonable price. To put it in perspective, the eBay motherboard I recently received had a Pentium G620 installed. I was going to swap it out for my old i5 3570k, but it's actually up to the task. A low end LGA1151 Xeon would certainly be fine.

Got better at my primary job, I think. I will check my stats tomorrow. I upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 to enable me to do my secondary job better. I might exchange the phone after this weekend for a different colour. I have also ordered a Obins Anne Pro to help with my secondary job as well. I cannot wait for it to arrive. *CLACK-CLACK-CLACK-CLACK-CLACK*

I think you got your words messed up. I think you meant to say "Should have gone with blues."
Blues are the king of switches, yes, though if I had a chance to fully customize my key switches, I'd go with greens instead on the home row keys.

That said, browns are a good middle ground, there's some feedback, but they aren't overly loud and the reset and activation points are the same.
Don't know how anyone can use linear keys.

I hate linears also, but again, I think you messed up your words. It should be "Pandastotles are the king of switches, yes, though if I had a chance to fully customize my key switches, I'd go with Pandastotles instead on the home row keys."

While I do understand and appreciate your preferences and opinions and the reasoning behind them, I do have my own and reasoning behind them which I would appreciate having respected as well. I personally do like the clicky and tactile switches. The issues for me are the blue switches are pretty loud and the brown switches have too small of a tactile bump compared to the blues. The Zealio switches and Kaihua Kailh Copper switches seem like the better alternative to the brown switches for me from what I have read. I would need to build a custom board using either switch to find out for sure though.

Opinions are individual - you don't need to continue the 'correction' thing.

Thank you for keeping us in the moment.
