FYI you can "ignore" users :) declutters threads and notifs very easily. I won't name names but there's a few that really made my list and so I don't have to deal with it anymore.
I do use the feature. But he's not on my list - I did mention I think he's a great guy irl. Love the energy and knowledge.

Anyway, I think trying to please everyone on the web (or irl) is pointless. You use steel to sharpen steel, and one friend sharpens another. A little criticism goes a long way.

A break, too, goes a long way. I keep saying it but I'd like to follow @el01 here, too much drama recently.

Constructive criticism yes, but the manner in which you presented your original sentiments came across rather distastfully imo. Ironing out communication seems to be a theme lately :)

I'm not hurt. We're all adults here (well, except for maybe the occasional teen), and we can solve issues peacefully and civilly (I hope...)

Speaking of adulting, work was today. Also known as high-schoolers flicking open and closed their "AirPods" cases over and over and OMG STOP I HATE APPLE I WANT THOSE TO NOT EXIST. Also known as so many people using MacBooks and harassing Windows users (why do you use such a cheap computer?) and Linux users (ur such a nurd).

I will take my anger out onto an Apple keychain I got from some random thrift store a few years back.

Understood! Sorry with everything going on I've been sensitized to these things lol.

So this past week I've had the horrible feeling of deceleration with a full-open throttle on my moped. Any guesses? Well, as it turns out I've put 10k miles on it since I got it driving, and it sat for a year.

I hadn't changed the oil yet, for either the motor or the gearing. 10k miles. 3 years old. No oil change.

I. Am. Not. Smart. (Sometimes).

Well, it only stalled out twice on the way back home tonight, so at least I'm living. Phew.

I solved the issue, I use a Linux with an Apple Machintosh keyboard.

But since the kb is from 1984, I face other criticism, even from Apple fanboys XD.

You'll never be able to be liked by everyone, just be honest with yourself and behave the way you want.

In this past week, I sampled apples of various origin available in my local supermarket.

Arranged in the order of my personal preference:- (based on taste only, ignoring the price factor)
New Zealand (a clear 1st place) > Canada and Australia (shared second place) > China and France (shared 3rd place) > USA (fourth)

@tinyitx do you have the exact variety names ? I'm a huge apple fruit fan !
I will get their names for you next time, probably next weekend. Sometimes, not all kinds are available at the same time though.

Anyway, the first place deserves a pic (actually, I think there are 2 kinds of NZ apples available here. And this is one of those 2).

:D

My day job is in a produce distribution role - I get to try and ship out all the delicious (organic) NZ apples every day. Jazz, Pink Lady, Braeburn, Royal Gala, NZ Queen, Granny Smith, Fuji, the list goes on. My favourite is Royal Gala, followed by Jazz.

My country ranking would put USA fruit ahead of Australian fruit - Aussie fruit mostly tastes flavourless (especially the citrus)

So that means fork bombs given to incompetent kids who will take any IT dude's advice? XD

(that would get me instantly fired lol)

today I went to a nearby FabLab (boy moving really did wonders) to print my partners one handed controller body
didn't work out as planned but it was fun anyway. They also got a cutter there and my hand is itching a bit to make a lot of stuff
its free to use, as its a government project, but all projects must be open source, and if not can only be prototypes.

about the apple matter, I mostly see Gala here and Argentina's apple that looks a lot like the snow white fruit
gala is much better

My advise with apples is "if it shines and looks like wax, avoid !".

I find lots of old varieties of apples here, very limited production but delicious.
apples ;)

apples here in Colorado are great, my parents have a few smol apple trees in their backyard. I get a ton of honeycrisps from them. better than anything bought in a store to me.

I'm more of a pear and Asian fruit dude myself. persimmon season has started, and it's great.
