Hi all - I have recently completed a Dan A 4.1 (high spec) build.

I receive the “USB device over current status detected” error if I try to plug in the front USB-C connector into the Mobo. If I do not plug this in, there is no error message - has anyone else experienced this problem / has a potential solution?

Thanks in advanced.

Please share the motherboard your setup features. I suspect you have one of the b550-i's, either from Asus, AsRock or Msi as they are the ones that have front usb-c header without any adapter.
If you plug the cord into the correct slot, then it should work fine. Does it recognize whatever you plug into them despite the error message? Could try to update the bios too if you haven't done it already.

Thanks for the response: I copy my set up list from a older post where I was showing off my mods. BIOS is up to date. It may well be that I totally forgot to check if that port is supported... I just get that message and am unable to use any functionality.
