Hello everyone,

i have just stumbled upon the Thermaltake G3, which seems to be the ideal ATX Small Formfactor case out there.
It is widely available [at least in Europe, not sure about international availability], from a reputable Brand and comes in at a shockingly low price.
Needless to say, i have ordered one and will build my GTX 1080/i7-8700K PC in that chassis.

Some details about the case:

Volume
: 23,58l
Price: ~65€ https://geizhals.eu/thermaltake-core-g3-black-ca-1g6-00t1wn-00-a1498100.html
GPU compatibility: up to 310mm and 2 Slots [seems like 2.5 Slots will fit physically, but thermals might be an issue]
CPU cooler: up to 110mm
Fans: 2x 120mm [front], 2x 120mm [top], if you remove the HDD Bay you might be able to fit an additional 120mm fan in the bottom
PSU: up to SFX-L
Storage: 2 3.5" drive bays for HDD/SSD
Front I/O: 2x USB 3.0 type A, 2x USB 2.0 type A, 3.5mm Mic/Headphone port

My Hardware:

i7-8700K, cooled by a Thermalright AXP-200 with a be quiet! PureWings 120mm
AsRock Z370M-ITX/ac [from my Evolv Shift build, might replace it with a Z390 ATX when they come out]
Gainward GTX 1080 Phoenix [285mm, 2.5 Slots]
16GB cheap Crucial DDR4-2133 CL15 RAM [shortage sucks]
Corsair SF450 [should be more than enough and the SF600 is a lot louder from what i have heard]
Some 1TB 3.5" WD HDD + Samsung 850 Evo 250GB [plan on upgrading to a 2TB M.2 Sata drive to replace all that clutter]

So far i am quite optimistic about how the build will turn out, though i might run into some issues with my truly fat GTX 1080 in terms of thermals. Sadly money is short at the moment, so it might take me a while to get this build perfect. As it seems, a custom loop should be easily managable in this case, so let's see what the future holds.
I will keep you updated and start the build as soon as the case arrives.

Have a nice day :):thumb:

Hi and welcome !
We're well aware of the Thermaltake Core G3, we even have a topic filled with some extra info on it: link.
Be sure to test the PCIe extender, because for me it was useless as it didn't provide a stable connection to my GPU.
