Not a case, but this is the box Scan decided was the right size to pack an SX800-LTi in.

It had a layer of bubble-pack half filling the base, but the PSU box was just sliding about on top of that below the lid.

Well the difficulty there is that they have to be a certain size to be functional, else the darn thing itself is a waste of space.

Maybe too crass, but in my opinion that only counts as a desk when you live in metropolitan areas like Tokyo where living space is at an extreme premium and you somehow think this is a better solution than a real desk and a real SFF PC. Otherwise it's just a HTPC case with very tall feet.

To give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they already had a chassis available for the manufacturer. it was cheaper to repurpose an existing than retooling ??

Because if you can afford $1000+ for a out-of-spec ballin' GPU, you're cool with spending another $1000 to hook it up to your "un-gaming" laptop rather than just have a dedicated gaming desktop as well for about the same price.
