Asus will sell both standard and OC (overclocked) models of the Asus ROG Strix and Asus Dual, but just the former for the Asus Turbo. Across all cards, the base and boost clock of the standard RTX 2080 is 1350MHz and 1545MHz respectively, with the Ti bumping things up to 1515MHz and 1710MHz respectively – with the OC speeds still to be revealed.

Four cards are available to pre-order in the UK from eBuyer, Overclockers and Scan, with the recommended price of the Asus Dual RTX 2080 Ti weighing in at around £1,340 (around $1,720, AU$2,335), and the Asus Turbo RTX 2080 Ticosting £1,275 (around $1,635, AU$2,220).

If you’re after the non-Ti version, then the Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 can be reserved now for £1,006 (around $1,290, AU$1,750), or you could hit up the Asus Dual RTX 2080 for £885 (around $1,135, AU$1,540).

So, a dual RTX 2080 board (2 GPU's on one board) costs only $85 more than a single GPU 2080 TI...

A dual GPU board at $1720 means you're paying $860 per GPU... That is actually a fairly civil price.

...Something that can't be said for the RTX 2080 TI, where you're paying $1645 per GPU (that being one).

Good thing I'm going to be busy with other things than building a new gaming rig for long enough for these to come down from the realm of LaLaLand.

NOW, FOR AN SFF CASE THAT CAN FIT A 2.7 SLOT WIDE GRAPHICS CARD !?

Is there one?
craning my neck to look at the back of my M1 - its definitely something over 2 slot widths, but 2.7?

it's only the card name. not dual GPU. and m1 can fit 3 slot card. but height of the card is the problem here. most of them are pretty tall

I see....

Bah, gotta hate that - after all, there were some really good dual GPU cards in their time - beating the crap out of SLI configurations.

Ah well, maybe later...

And thanks for the info on the M1 actually having room for 3 slot cards. I remember that the height issue on it could be solved by cutting out part of the folded corner beam. Although there was one of the giant cards, where even that wasn't enough...

But since we don't actually have a dual GPU card coming, that's academic...
