Hey, so from spending few hours of reading i came to conclusion and flashed to 3.60U, there is also option to flash some bioses from 300x but it's riskier.
When i get chance i will test 4750G maybe.. or some 6core..
I think I have the same with Ryzen 2200g, It was stable.

I think someone also said that difference between 3.60S and 3.60U is that the 3.60S was released then 1 hour later 3.60U was released

My assumption is that 3.60S had some bug in which they quickly updated and fixed bug or whatever and released 3.60U.
So that's why i think 3.60U is most reliable one.

Did you have any luck resurrecting your DeskMini? You may have inadvertently popped the diode that provides reverse-polarity and transient voltage protection. Have a look near the DC input jack at the component labelled PTV. I popped mine by accident when I was messing with a different PSU and accidentally reversed the +/- pins, but it now works fine after removing that component (although obviously without the protection now).

Have a look at yours and see if it's intact or burned, if the latter, try desoldering it (carefully) - don't short the pins though, just leave it disconnected.

Hello I'm still working on resurrecting the A300. I tried switching RAM places and using single RAM

With a meter I measured the voltage and resistance. The DC input is working also PTV. I also tested the PSU with a meter it is working also. But I also tried by replacing it with another external PSU. With the meter I also found out the power switch/button is working.

Weirdly enough I left it some days and something changed. When connecting with the PSU the blue LED next to the power button went permanently on now without pressing power button. Fan is still off.
Before there was no light And the PC can't be shut down with the button anymore.
I tried clear CMOS like in the instruction by As Rock (without removing batteries) and connection to the other CPU Fan PIN (CPU Fan 2).
Phone can be recharged on the USB port.

Any ideas are welcome.
I guess I need a new computer...

Try desoldering the PTV in case, it sounds like a power issue to me. It is unlikely to cause any MORE damage.

Hello I might try it as a last try since I have no other ideas to try.
You mean desoldering with soldering gun, right?
If the CPU Fan is broken, the computer still should be able to boot, right?
The thing is I measured voltage and resistance with a multimeter (my friend is eletronical engineer) and he said the readings on the contact and diodes have been normal on the PTV. Weird though, that the blue power LED is back on.

on my x300 i want to change apu from 4650G to 5700G. do you have some tipps?
i listen in a yt video ... for atx mainboard with 5700G about UEFI settings:

CPU Clock Ration 45.00 / 38.00
CPU Frequency 4,5GHz/3,8GHz

Core Performance Boost
- Disable

GFX Clock Frequency 2400MHz
GFX Core Voltage 1.30000V

AMD Precision Boost Overdrive
- Disable

Are this settings on Deskmini available, too?

UEFI - "OC Tweaker".

gfx clock freq 2400MHz
gfx core voltage 1.30000V

core performance boost - disabled

cpu clock ration 4500mhz
a second clock ration is not available (for 3800mhz) and voltages is set : 1,35V

XFR Enhanced - Precision Boost Overdrive and Precision Boost Overdrive Scalar - disable

AMD Ryzen Master <-- Linux-Edition // https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Ryzen ++ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/linux-amd-znver3 I did not try.

Additional:
Geekbench 6.2.1 for Linux AVX2

UEFI: Temperatures: CPU 63.5°C, M/B 45°C
, but after booting and just idling on desktop, the tools sensors and psensors output: CPUTIN 50-54°C.

I will calculate that my setting is tolerate rate +/- 0% or in the maximum zone for making trouble, if it is summer (higher temperature).
Perhaps, the max. of X300 with 5700G will gfx 2300 MHz.... or there is a better CPU cooler as Noctua NH-L9a or "delid-die-mate" !?

You’ll be lucky to get 2300MHz consistently, and the 5700g’s extra cores can make it a bit harder to cool.. but you can spin your RAM up pretty far with the 5600g/5700g SOC. Mine sits 24/7 at 4000-22-20-20

NH-L9A is still the best option.

what SO-Dimms u prefer?
I´m using https://www.mindfactory.de/product_...ix-DDR4-3200-SO-DIMM-CL16-Single_1376533.html

Do you have some more information about your UEFI RAM settings? xmp off, also auto. 1. speed setting 4000, 2. speed setting 2000?
what i need change in manual DDR freqs setting? what timings are very important to change? CL / tRCD / tRP / tRAS

PS: i am using a second air cooler on the case. on the board are two fan pwr controllers. So i have drilled some hole in the case on the side over the grid for additional cooling.

When you OC the IGP on Ryzen keep in mind that it's using power from the SOC rail which is also used to stabilize the memory controller. "GFX core voltage" is the same as SOC voltage. Since Ryzen IGP performance is bottlenecked by memory bandwidth, its a good idea to use the SOC voltage to help max out the memory to its limit. The performance gains from OCing the IGP itself aren't very good.

Also, a better power supply with more W is recommend? i am using 200W.

200W should be ok - the woeful 120W it comes with should be avoided if doing any high performance work and/or overclocking.

I'll check out the UEFI settings later this week and get back to you :)

SODIMMs were Lenovo-branded SK Hynix 2x8GB jobbies, will double-check when I get UEFI settings.

Hi All. I got the Asrock X300W Mini, and I ordered the AMD 4600G. Was wonding what kind of memory to get.
The QVL for renoir is a little confusing. I was wanting to get 3200 MHz ram 2x16, but they don't have many choices on that list.
I was thinking on this pair from Amazon. G-SKILL-Ripjaws-PC4-21300-2666MHz-F4-2666C18D-32GRS
but its 2666 Any help would greatly be appreciated. Many Thanks in advance.

i had G-Skill Ripjaws (2x16GB) 3000 MHz in A300 with 3400G and works fine with 3200MHz. [G.Skill Ripjaws - DDR4 - SO DIMM 260-PIN - 3000 MHz / PC4-24000 CL16], because I had flashed P1.30S, what is support 1.2V and 1.35V for RAM, too.
In X300, I using Crucial Ballistix (2x16GB) 3200 MHz before with 4650G (3400Mhz) and now 5700G ... something over 3400MHz. [BL2K16G32C16S4B] 1,35V!

Hint. I am thinking, because AMD 4xxx APU and this Deskmini S3 problem, i am very sure, that you will need in UEFI BIOS set c-states: off.
I read in Reddit someone had problems with 4750G and Deskmini with warm hard crashes. Me, too, with 4650G. It helped this user and me, too. Perhaps 4600G will producing this, too. So, you can fix this. And because graphics, u want gaming? VRAM...in UEFI you should set to 4 GB, so ~27GB RAM and reserved 4GB for games. For four virtualboxs and open lot of tabs in browser, no problem.

If you thinking that you want 4750G or 5700G, too. I have a bigger power supply. ~200W, price was ~80 €. I do not know, if 5700G works with standard Asrock power supply, but I know for 4750G u will need a bigger one, because this computer won´t start. With 4650G, the 120W is enough. I just mean 5700G is a good product. 4600G ~100€ and 5700G ~180€, If you need gaming. So, I had in StarCraft2 with 4650G ~35 FPS and now with OC (GFX&&CPU&&RAM) ~50FPS (average) without errors and very high HD settings. If you want check the APU hardware spec differences take a look on the webpage "versus dot com", there u can compare multiple CPUs at same time.

I wish i could share fine FPS values for GTA5, but I had always played with borderless windows, so that the FPS were always 31-32. Now, in fullscreen with new APU and OC, I get 60FPS. Good RAM in Desk- or Gamemini are very important. Now I play Skyrim with lot of mods with ~30FPS.
