Just to confirm, this bios (3.70E) adds 5xxxG support on the A300??
Yes, the Beta BIOS "3.70E" contains the microcodes for APUs Renoir(4xxxG) and Cézanne(5xxxG) in its AGESA firmware so are therefore compatible.Just to confirm, this bios (3.70E) adds 5xxxG support on the A300??
Also, Deskmini A300 series will not support CPU later than Picasso CPU.
What processor model are you using?Well I took the plunge and upgraded from 3.71A to 3.70E...
And it's bricked. I'm guessing it's similar to the issues people were having switching from some of the earlier beta bioses to 3.71A. I should have really downgraded to an earlier BIOS before I upgraded, oh well!
Unless it was just a bad transfer, the progress bar only got to 40% before it said it was successful and to reboot, can't remember if that's normal from previous attempts.
Now, I've ordered a X300 and will try to fix the A300 at a later date and sell it on, perhaps this was Asrock's plan all along?

This is what was experienced flashing the X300 bios onto the A300 with force flashing methodsWhat processor model are you using?
No A300 Bios(or beta bios) with functional S3 exist, sorry.does 3.70e support S3 FUNCTION?3.60U didn't support

You have a copy so I can test? I have 2400G, 3400G, and 5600G with a few A300's
Your links on the other thread area dead and I have A300, X300 and DeskMeet X300 I'd like BIOS updates for if you have them.
EDIT: got the X300/A300, file link didnt like any privacy blocking or adblocking had to 3rd party browser it
my old box is periodically experiencing similar issue on 3.60S, I don't have to clear CMOS pins though, I disconnect the power (and long-press the power btn just in case for a couple of seconds), replug and it works... asrock bios quality is the best!)I do have sometimes the problem that the system does not boot. the leds are off, the fan is blowing but nothing else. The system only boots after bridge the clear CMOS pins. I'm running on 3.71A. Any suggestions?
asking because I have a chance to snag a 5600g for a pretty nice price (to upgrade from 3400g), but If I can't change bios settings that would be a dealbreaker for such a swap.regarding the latest A300 bios v3.70E:
Is everyone who flashed it experiencing the inability to save settings (mentioned earlier) or is it configuration-dependent (or what was flashed previously) ?
I just updated to bios 3.70E on my A300w deskmini and then put in a 5600g. I have not tried to change any of the bios settings yet, so i don't know about saving them yet. My current issue is that windows (11 Pro) sees the 5600g as a 4 core 8 thread CPU not 6/12 like it should be. I'm not sure if this is a windows issue or the bios. Oh and i also have no sleep option in windows. Does anyone else have these issues?any updates on v3.70E and the inability to save settings ???
My issue with the 5600G being seen as 4/8 was software. The next windows update fixed that issue.I just updated to bios 3.70E on my A300w deskmini and then put in a 5600g. You got the 3.70E from ASRock support? I tried it on my A300 and it looks like a modified X300 BIOS, besides it is bascially unusable, because it's impossible to save the BIOS settings, the A300 won't boot anymore, and requires to disconnect the battery, what other users mentioned as problem already. Kinda weird they give such a BIOS to users. Had to go back to 3.60S to use my 4600G, would love to use a 5600G, but 3.70E doesn't work.3.71A bios, uses the V1 AGESA 1.0.0.8 from 22/02/2022, but does not have 4000/5000 support like some of the earlier beta bios and x300 bios do. But it is the newest bios version if you have a 3000 chip or below and what I've been running on my 3200g.
I've just got in contact with Asrock about a new bios as due to the vulnerabilities listed in the latest AMD security bulletin:
AMD Processor Vulnerabilities
They said it dosn't apply to me as the security bulletin calls it a '3000 series athlon processor with radeon graphics', and the 3200g processor is ryzen not athlon.
But I'm not too sure and just think their wording is off and it applies to both the ryzen and athlon 3000 series as I think an athlon is just a cut down version of the ryzen chips, I don't know if anyone knows better and can weigh in as I highly doubt the latest a300 bios we got is covering the latest security vulnerabilities.
Anyway, they did give me a new beta bios 3.70e which they say is using v2 1.2.0.7 which I will upload a post shortly, and I hope someone here is able to test it for me, as I can't recover from a bricked BIOS and this is my daily PC.
It's the same with 3.60S though, no entry for AGESA.I've put it into the SMU checker, and it shows support for Renoir and Cezanne, but no entry for the AGESA which is strange.
