Here it is! I need to get some more exactly measurements but I believe it’s 4.0L

What’s our methodology? CineBench R23 and TimeSpy?

Here's the score for my 2023 project - still tweaking a few things, I think I may be able to take this a bit further with some CPU undervolting, but for now I'm rather happy with where this lands:

CPUR9 7950X3D
GPU4090 FE
CaseSkyreach 4 Mini
Volume5.0l*
Cinebench R23 Multi-Core, 30 minutes34,565
Cinebench R20 Multi-Core (I'm nostalgic)13,951
TimeSpy Graphics Score33,304
OctaneBench1336.61

Round 4 PPL Score

(34,565*33,304)/(5^1.5)/100

1,029,622

Round 4 Compute Score

(34,565*1336.61)/(5^1.5)/100

41,322

...looks like that's more than double the PPL and Compute score of my previous build!

*NB that for benchmarking I have replaced the custom heatsink bezel I have designed for this build with the standard S4M faceplate (see photo - that's the configuration I have benchmarked it in) - the heatsink bezel contributes somewhat to temperature control and thus performance, this, however, is overcompensated by the 0.26l of bounding box volume the fins add to the build: Bottom line, it scores better without it:

I suggest that we rename PPL into Petricor Performance Level.

We could also mesure performance per liter in Petricors now. This new unofficial unit is measured in points per liter.

Current value for a Petricor is 205,924.4 pts/L (i.e. 1,029,622 pts ÷ 5L).

Of course, only @petricor is allowed to change the value of a Petricor 🥰. Any objection ?

Hope people don't mind me necro-ing this thread!

So obviously I don't see anyone beating @petricor's score however ever since coming across @REVOCCASES thinkstation tiny build I've been obsessed with getting my own. So below are my scores for my P3 Tiny.

CaseLenovo P3 Tiny (1.2L - 37mm x 182mm x 179mm)
BrickLenovo 170W Workstation AC Adapter (0.25L - 150mm x 77mm x 22mm)
CPUIntel 13900
GPURTX A2000
Cinebench R23 Multi-Core20126
TimeSpy Graphics Score6682
Round 4 PPL Score
(20126*6682)/(1.45^1.5)/100
770,214

Hoping for a faster/reasonably priced single slot alternative in the near future!!

Cinebench 23 - 30mins

TimeSpy

** EDIT

Whoops forgot to share an image of the P3 Tiny. Also massive thanks to @REVOCCASES for helping me get the single slot cooler for the A2000 and answering my questions!

I want to see a sub 0.5L APU build once the 256-bit memory APUs drop. Those things *are* coming, right?

ahh I dunno, who am I kidding, probably once that drops in a GPD style laptop (12 inch maybe, OLED high refresh with VRR please) that will be my ticket.

Alright alright I’ll post mine, but it won’t be good

I know I can do better on these but I'm happily running on my daily silent profile now and CBF tweaking for more power/heat/noise for a few extra points.

CaseREVOCCASES N0RDR1 Nano Evo
Dimensions (W x D x H)92 x 225 x 258 mm
Volume (B)5.34 Litres
CPURyzen 5 5600G
GPUGigabyte RTX 4060 LP
CineBench R23 Multicore (A)11,307
TimeSpy Graphics (B)11,211
Calculation(11307x11211) / (5.34x1.5) / 100 = 158,255

(11307x11211) / (5.34^1.5) / 100 = 102,725
Round 4 PPL Score (AxB)/(V^1.5)/100102,725

The new size is 0.198L (80x80x31)
The new PPL score is (12775 * 2688) / ((0.198 + 0.053) ^ 1.5) / 100 = 2,730,735

The first revision 1 of the 3D panels here:
Maaaan I want one

::EDIT:: Ah shit I realised I did my calculation wrong too.

I had (11307x11211) / (5.34x1.5) / 100
126,762,777 / 8.01 / 100 = 158,255

It should be: (11307x11211) / (5.34^1.5) / 100 =
126,762,777 / 12.34 / 100 = 102,725.9 pts

Pretty significant whoopsie sorry all

Congrats, impressive scoring!

How quiet is this tiny thing?

Next week it will be 0.198L (80mm x 80mm x 31mm) with custom 3D printed panels
What you did is keeping the inner stock casing and replacing the top and bottom panels with thinner ones, right?
Did you have to get rid of something for that?

Accessories: 65W GaN Type-C power adapter
The EM780's power solution features a 65W GaN Type-C power adapter, contributing to the system's minimalistic design. This adapter allows for the use of any 65W PD USB to power the device. GaN technology also reduces heat generation and enhances energy efficiency at maximum power delivery, compared to traditional power adapters.
source: https://www.techradar.com/pro/minisforum-mercury-em780-review

No DC barrel here, GaN USB-C charger fully compatible with this board.
USB-C 5A limit is respected with this low power 65W, but what about the problem with the USB Power Delivery reported earlier with such Gan chargers?
Does the board have an integrated 'USB-PD dummy trigger PCB'?
What do you guys think, @msystems, @SFFMunkee ?
