If I normally run my s4 mini without the side panels, can I remove them from the volume calc? ;D
(still wouldn't help me much, cpu is just an 8700k running undervolted at base clocks and, it's not a brickless build, and I have a 1080, not a 1080ti)

190- TinyAudio - i7 -7700T - Intel HD630 - (2146*195)/2.2 - Post #282

Quick post to get the 25 entries. I will be installing MacOS on here so I haven't fiddled with settings and did not sit through downloading drivers so these are the base of base results that I could get.
Will do a build log etc once I have tackled installing macOS.

What case is that? Looks nice!

Been Lurking around for awhile, but finally made a profile, and decided to throw this in the runnings. Hopefully I can slip in as #26! Let Me Know if I missed anything!

Build is a SkyReach S4M, Delidded LM'ed 8700k, and a Gigabyte GTX 1070. HDPLEX 400 power with Dell 330W power supply.

Volume 5.0L Case + .86L for the PS. (Numbers stolen from TheHig!) Thanks!

So. (4423.6*2975)/5.86= 2,245,769.62

will update in a few, i'll let your entry in, but mark it as 26th, so it doesn't count in the final ranks, BUT, I'll be posting round 2 details later :)

Dang, 5.15 Ghz in the s4? What voltages are you running and at what temps? I got a pretty garbage 8700k, I can't get much of an overclock at all to run on it :(

As promised :)

  • Most threads, 36, Arie
  • Highest Intel CPU score, 11537, Gautam
  • Highest AMD CPU Score, 4749.4, theGryphon
  • Highest Nvidia GPU score, 4916, Gautam
  • Highest AMD GPU score, 1426, n4ru
  • Highest Intel GPU score, 317, TinyAudio
  • Highest CPU score per thread, 612, Duality92, i5 8600K
  • Highest CPU score per core, 753, rfarmer, i7 8700K
  • Lowest volume, 0.63, Duality92, ECS Liva Z Plus
  • Total cores, 160
  • Total threads, 302
  • Total volume, 177.4L
  • Average CPU score, 3642
  • Average GPU score, 2629
  • Average volume, 6.82L
  • Average core count, 6.2
  • Average thread count, 11.6
  • Average score per core, 592
  • Average score per thread, 314
  • Percentage of Nvidia GPUs, 85%
  • Percentage of Intel CPUs, 81%
  • Averages PPL, 1404, would place 13th

Fun Facts
  • Not one single AMD dedicated GPU was used
  • Four entries were with no dedicated GPU
  • GTX 1080 Ti was the most popular GPU, seconded by 1070, then 1060 6GB.
  • i7's had a total of 14 of 26 entries, with 10 different models, 8700K being the most popular
  • Testifier would've made it into 5th place instead of 12th if the GPU benchmark would've supported SLI
  • Gautam, in first place, has as many PPL and both second and third combined, and as many as the last 12 places combined.
  • Quad cores had the most entries with 11, hex cores had 9.
  • 8 threaded and 12 threaded CPUs has an equal amount of entries at 8 each.
  • only 11 of the entries have last generation hardware
  • All but one of the entries with dedicated GPUs (23/26) have last generation GPUs
  • The RX Vega M had about the same score as a GTX 970
  • The three entries with Intel integrated GPUs are the three lowest GPU scores, unsurprisingly
  • The SoC i7 8809G sat in the midst of Skylake and Kaby Lake CPU score entries, overclocked at 5+GHz
  • Highest overclock noted was Duality92 with a 5.2 GHz CPU , almost reaching confusis's i7 8700 CPU.
  • 19 of the 26 entries have unlocked CPUs
  • ALL of the entries would theoretically fit into a Case Labs Magnum THW10 @ 182L.

Apologies, for the horrible necro-post. But i just was parousing and realized there was a PPL1 and PPL2 back when I had my build..! So I got curious as to where i would place if i had submitted my build back then...

You know i wish i had known about these PPL Threads beforehand, because i just ran my build through this gauntlet and the PPL 2.0 gauntles, purely as a curiosity (same build i had since Feb 2017), and I calculated using the 4.9L i had back in 2018 which is the time this thread and 2.0 wers active (since this build was completed in 2017 & I was still using the external power brick back then, to be fair).

PPL 1.0 6860
Unigen Heaven Extreme: 3533
CPU-Z Multithreaded Score: 9515
PPL 1.0 Score: 8003 = ((9515 * 3533)/4.9)/1000

PPL 2.0 6944
Cinebench R15: 958
TimeSpy Graphics Score: 7863
PPL 2.0 Score: 6944 = ((958 * 7863)/(4.9^1.5))/100

👀 Aaaand... my build woulda made 2nd place in PPL round 1, and 5th place in PPL round 2... dang, I'm sorry i missed out on this series of threads until 2020, but I'm glad this series exists now. :)
