Join the Smallformfactor.net HWbot Team.

It's time for a little friendly competition!

HWBOT is a 100% FREE to use online benchmarking repository.
The rules are simple:
1. Create an account.
2. Join the team.
3. Run benchmarks.
4. Submit your results.

Link to the team: http://hwbot.org/team/smallformfactor.net/#Members

Why should I run benchmarks?
- Your contribution(s) earn points for the smallformfactor.net team.
- It starts some friendly competition with other members of the Small Form Factor community.
- Competition helps to optimize builds and eek out performance that would otherwise go unnoticed.
- Teammates help each other by finding ways to improve their scores.
- The more points our team earns, the higher we rank among other teams worldwide.

As a lot of our builds share similar hardware inside various SFF chassis, this helps to ensure that our hardware is running at its best.

What is HWBot?
It's a website were you can browse processor and videocard specifications, and compare your performance based on thousands of submitted results. It's also an overclocking competition site. If you like tweaking your computer, you can send in your results and be handed out awards for best performing videocard / processor, etc.
- HWBOT is the official website for benchmarking/ overclocking enthusiasts.
- It's been around since 2006 as the gold standard in benchmark result submissions.
- Every record that has even been, was submitted to HWBOT for accuracy and validation.

How do I join the Smallformfactor.net team?
Step 1. Visit the website hwbot.org/

Delid on z270 = intel illness
Delid on x299 = intel madness and stupidity
Delid on x99 and Ryzen = useless

;)
I will be very pleased if delid fixed the thermal transfer problem with the cpu side of my build. It happens even when I'm undervolting. If one core is fully loaded it spikes the core temp insanely, like from 30c to 85c in 2 seconds.

FInally got my scores in :)

I didn't know that uploading an XTU profile file when submitting 3DMark scores would reset your score you entered before uploading to the XTU score. I placed last on a few submissions until I figured that out lol.

Pfff, xtu should be removed from benchmarks as it's reserved to intel processor...my poor ryzen could not shine on it...:)

What ram kit did you use? On r7 1700, i saw some people on 3800mhz but using high speed run(3600 or like)
G-Skill Flare X 3200mhz cas 14 :)

Well this was a pretty fun break from working on builds.. haven't really overclocked much since the Athlon days.

It sure was "fun" trying to OC the piss out of an SFF machine on a HDPlex 300 watt brick!!!!!!! :D

To maintain the 4.8ghz core clock OC and lower power/temps, I ended up disabling two cores, and HT. Watching the Kill-a-watt spiking up to 335w was a little nuts... BUT hey at least it confirms that thing can handle some real juice - with active cooling.

The "special heatpipe ramen noodles" cooling solution (per Phuncz) worked out pretty good IMO. Temps stayed under 60C with an Arctic F12 fan blowing on it.

Aw, I knew I should have got the results submitted sooner!

Oh, well. It was interesting seeing what my "just higher than stock" config got. Looking forward to seeing how everything does on a custom loop :)

Congrats to @msystems :)

Just wanted to note that the Rookie-Rumble is still open for three more days:
http://oc-esports.io/#!/round/rookie_rumble_46
(I'm currently 5th giving me 27 points, last time I finished 11th for 16)

Since that competition includes an Intel-specific test there is also an AMD-only version (currently with only 8(!) participants)
http://oc-esports.io/#!/round/rookie_rumble_amd_40

It is a good way to pad your personal score, one high or even middling rank will probably give you more than an afternoon of regular benchmarks. Especially this time if you use AMD since almost none have entered, so just submitting all 3 tests would probably give you a top position overall.

And all entered scores still count toward your regular submissions, so you still get hardware-points and record-points on the lists.
