That sounds promising, but then I also expect the 4700G to be a $300 APU, so performance needs to be on point. The 4400G (or whatever the 6c+7CU one ends up being named, I would say 4600G makes a lot more sense) interests me a lot more mostly due to price, though given the price of the very similarly specced 3600(X) there's an open question about where that will land too. Definitely not expecting it to cost the same as a 3400G despite possibly following in the same naming tier.

Hm, I was wondering why the scores were scaling so badly, then I looked at the combined scores. Wonder what is going on there - power limits hitting the higher core count parts, perhaps? (Though if that's the case, why is the 4700G higher than the 4400G when it has both more cores and higher clocks?) Nonetheless, the 4200G combined score seems disproportionately high unless the other chips are severely misconfigured in some way. Should still make for a good upgrade for my HTPC though; the poor A8-7600 in that just does ~1400 overall, 1500 graphics and a lowly 530 combined. The way this looks scaling-wise I might go for a 4200G and go balls-to-the-wall on memory rather than springing for a faster APU.

@ASRock System
can you please do a solid and request of suppor that when some time is there to spare, update the AGESA and associated modules on the A300, would be great for 1.0.0.5 that AMD released, but hell, id take 1.0.0.4b even...

Support tickets have been useless, I only found out about the beta bios because I found it when I searched:

BETA Bios 3.53 which has newer (don't recall the specific revision), works fine, no issues as the bugs where in AGESA and associated modules for Zen+

I own and have sold and recommended about 20 of these so far, but myself and 2 others who have them cannot do VM's on it due to the 1.0.0.1 AGESA and associated modules which DO NOT play well with Zen+!

We can't expect performance of GPUs with GDDR5(X)/GDDR6 when we have "non-G" DDR4, there's going to be a bottleneck anyway or they need to implement HBM2 somewhere. But that would make the CPU too expensive for the intended markets.

Considering the APU uses DDR4 and beats a most likely GDDR5 card, this result is more than impressive.
