  • No, not worth it b/c it is not better than the ROG 30XX, which fits now at <10L

Well I'm german, so same price as the rest of europe?. I might be a bit out of touch because I'm using the same cooling stuff (excluding GPU block) since I bought my Q6600.
But at least the sites I frequent seem to still like it.

And honestly my CPU block is just as good as my LE, EKWB or Biksky GPU-blocks were till now.

Back than (Q6600) Alphacool was ok.
It really was!

Than (nowadays... ) the two main characters of the company got into a fight about quality and production-costs... (A few years ago and ongoing...).

Guess who won!
Guess what (actually)happened...?!

I had a few cracked acrylic-CPU blocks...
Fittings didn't fit (how hilarious...)
The quality was just... Inconsistent....

And for the same price I can get exceptionally well built quality... buying the competitors products... Easy choice :)

That seems to be underwhelming then. I'll still try. If the new stuff doesn't satisfy I'll return it and get a bit more cutom than LT240 with new tubings/fittings.

LT240 just seemed to be the go to solution and I really don't know where to put a regular pump. 2,5" bay won't work as I'll need that for storage.

Ryzen 4000 could still be the APUs basede on Zen2.

The Point is that Ryzen 4000 is NOT Ryzen Gen3 but ZEN 3.

There is just no Ryzen Gen 3... Or Gen anything.

The architecture is called ZEN. Not Ryzen.
Zen Is Ryzen 1000
Zen+ is Ryzen 2000
Zen 2 is Ryzen 3000
Zen 3 is most likely to be Ryzen 4000

Apu always one Gen behind.

But there simply is no RYzen Gen3. There is only Zen3 (someday in future).

That's what I meant by being picky... My apologies!

But architecture and product name (Zen architecture and RYzen as a Product) just do not go hand in hand figure-wise....

The next one is Ryzen Zen 3 4000 (Gen4 according to AMD)
APU same digits (3000) but previous Gen (Gen2 Ryzen+)
Mobile is 1digit further (4000) but actual Gen (Gen3 Ryzen 2)

It’s a mess, ahahahhaha!!

First I wanted to write "Ryzen 4000" but I somehow changed 4000 to Gen3 (without changing Ryzen to Zen) as I remembered the APUs.

It's good you corrected me. I'm always annoyed when people confuse it in discussions and now I did it myself.

You are totally fine @max31092 :D

What @fabio told about Zen2+ I actually heared for the first time... I never saw a (not faked) roadmap including a ZEN2+ generation...

...so either our beloved @fabio is wrong or I do need to check my habits concerning ppl using the wrong Gen-Names...

Anyway... It definitly can trap you! :)

I’ve fixed, sorry! I got confused in the name confusion! ??? It was to write that the process is the same even if it’s another Gen, but did a mess.

You are right!

Now should be more clear!

Ryzen1000 CPU= Zen1
Ryzen1000 APU= did they even exist? (probably would be Carizzo, but I think they were branded as A-series)

Ryzen2000 CPU= Zen1+ (optimized Zen1)
Ryzen2000 APU= Zen1 (minor changes)

Ryzen3000 CPU= Zen2
Ryzen3000 APU= Zen1+ (minor changes?)

Ryzen4000 CPU = Zen3
Ryzen4000 APU= Zen2 (minor changes?)

Should be right?
Well the CPU stuff isn't quite on toppic, so I'll just edit if needed.

Correct. Including the APU that never existed :) (Ryzen 1000 APU never existed)

Ryzen 4000 most likely is going to be correct... But nothing official yet :)

I can’t wait to get one of these... Everytime I see or hear about this I hate having to wait. Really wanna mess around and see what crazy designs/setups I can do in this.

Wow, 24 hours away from the thread and there's something like 5+ pages. I'm almost as excited for the continued development of accessories as I am of the case itself. The Distro plate is looking fantastic and I really appreciate the hiding of the screws.

Well I kind of regret not making an account/posts back during the test shipping because I saw more qualified candidates for Canada.
Regardless, I'm willing to wait for this case, since it suits my needs so much better than the Ghost S1, the other case I was looking at.
