Not to be picky (and yeah.. somehow I am ?)...or new AMD and Ryzen Gen3
Well I'm german, so same price as the rest of europe?. I might be a bit out of touch because I'm using the same cooling stuff (excluding GPU block) since I bought my Q6600.
But at least the sites I frequent seem to still like it.
Ryzen 4000 could still be the APUs basede on Zen2.
The next one is Ryzen Zen 3 4000 (Gen4 according to AMD)The Point is that Ryzen 4000 is NOT Ryzen Gen3 but ZEN 3.
There is just no Ryzen Gen 3... Or Gen anything.
The architecture is called ZEN. Not Ryzen.
Zen Is Ryzen 1000
Zen+ is Ryzen 2000
Zen 2 is Ryzen 3000
Zen 3 is most likely to be Ryzen 4000
Apu always one Gen behind.
But there simply is no RYzen Gen3. There is only Zen3 (somewhere in the future).
I’ve fixed, sorry! I got confused in the name confusion! ??? It was to write that the process is the same even if it’s another Gen, but did a mess. You are totally fine @max31092
What @fabio told about Zen2+ I actually heared for the first time... I never saw a (not faked) roadmap including a ZEN2+ generation...
...so either our beloved @fabio is wrong or I do need to check my habits concerning ppl using the wrong Gen-Names...
Anyway... It definitly can trap you!
Ryzen1000 CPU= Zen1
Ryzen1000 APU= did they even exist?
Ryzen2000 CPU= Zen1+ (optimized Zen1)
Ryzen2000 APU= Zen1 (mionor changes)
Ryzen3000 CPU= Zen2
Ryzen3000 APU= Zen1+ (minor changes?)
Ryzen4000 CPU = Zen3
Ryzen4000 APU= Zen2 (minor changes?)
Should be right?
Well the CPU stuff isn't quite on toppic, so I'll just edit if needed.
