He has been online @ Computerbase just this month, so I guess he might be alright - he just doesn't care about this thread any more.
That is pretty poor. US gets forgotten for the Q4 release when we were promised (only reason I did not order from Overclockers UK). I was pretty much done on this project anyway but now I am for sure. I have been following this thread all the way back since it’s original inception. Let Germany have the C4……
Dan hasn't posted anything here since June 4th, 2024 (Post 3927 of this thread) though I suspect he's lurking.
I regret to say that SFFN just isn't a popular spot anymore. I'm sorry about that. People have begun to move on to reddit, Discords, or YouTube comments. Forums like ours aren't surviving, and web media has been replace by videos for all but the die-hard enthusiasts.
From the few times I've direct messaged Dan, I never got the impression he doesn't care. I think he's just busy...well I hope he's just busy.
It's not just SFFN though. Dan hasn't been very active.

The last post on the dan-cases website is 5-2023 when Optimum Tech reviewed the C4-SFX
However, he was on his sub-reddit 14 days ago. He also frequents MFF PC and SFF PC sub-reddits.

He might just be waiting for RTX 5000 series size specs before deciding on a direction regarding height/slot/matx support for v2.
of course, an update would be nice. i wonder if he got a prototype with the new mesh panels and checked the qualily....

I'm hoping for the same thing, but even just him saying that he's waiting for the release before finalizing the design would be a great relief.
I got a message today from Scott at SFF Hub. Dan is ok. He's most likely waiting on the next-generation GPUs before finalizing the design.
Maybe there will be something for my grandchildren to build in, not that there any yet and they will have to be trained in the ways of small...

/Edit: just spotted his post on computerbase.de from this monday, stating he is indeed waiting for final specs of the RTX 5000 series - so that means he does not care about SFFN any more, not about his customers in general. For me, this is still a big no and I'm done with Dan Cases

...nothing lasts forever. SFFN isn't dead but we aren't blind or naive to what's happening to us, and forums in general. I wish we could invest more time into the place, but we're all getting older now, and life starts to have a time limit. How you spend that time becomes more and more important.

At this point, I no longer care.
Finalise design > order produciton > wait for them to be manufactured > wait for them arrive at retailers (one year minimum)
Retailers sell out in 10mins > "Oh, I'm changing them again, sorry, another 2 year wait, oh wait....RTX60 is due out, I'll wait more..."
